Booking.com has a photo of the central square in Kutaisi, with an arrow indicating where this hostel is. It seems to be right on the square, judging from that pic. Very misrepresenting.
The hostel is close to the central square, but in a tiny alley in a street, rather than on the square.

I was the only guest. 

The dorm is configured for privacy. Each bed is in a cubicle, which can be isolated with a curtain. Sometimes the water in the bathroom was shut off. I'd either forget about the shower, or try to get the owner to get the water going.
Only Russian or Georgian is spoken. Or, if needed, the owner calls a friend that speaks English.

The building is a house, which has a lot of flimsy walls in order to build in as much rooms as possible. Hence, there is no social area.

I would not advise against going here, but just be prepared for bare basics.

Cheap, but tricky

The hotel is very conveniently located, in the center of the city, 5 minutes walk from the main square. It is quite easy to find, at the corner from the street to the alley there is an indicator. A common room with separate rooms behind curtains is a very interesting solution, I've seen this for the first time. It is quite spacious, the bed is comfortable, the bedding is packed, there is a large towel, a towel, a rosette and hooks on the wall. Shower at 8 places here is spacious, there is good paper, liquid soap and shampoo. And beautifully decorated))).. The kitchen is large, I didn't cook too, I only used a teacup. By the way, there is one free tea and accessories.

A hostel with very comfortable mini-rooms.

We stayed here for 1 night only and we probably would have not stayed any longer.

The location is good, a walking distance from the City center.  We stayed in a 6 Bed Dorm room, which basically is a huge room that was partitioned to have mini rectangular rooms ( 2 levels) and provisioned curtains and single beds in each partitioned rooms.  No lockers. So one needs to be mindful of their valuables since during check-in, our passports/ID were not required.

The shared bathroom was spacious, this is enough for 6 people I believe.

For the cheap price, we had a good night sleep.  But again, I would not stay any longer than that.

Good Location

Lasha -the owner of this hostel makes everything possible to feel you comfortable while staying there. Special thanks to him for his hospitality and kindness.
The rooms are very comfortable, all necessary things are in place.
The hostel is very close to the center of Kutaisi and it is easy to find. I stayed there two nights and wasn't disappointed. On the first floor you can find kitchen with the chimney decorated in Georgian style.
I'd definitely recommend this place to my friends.
