Kutaisi

Hotel oequeño, familiar, and cozy, very carefully detailed and well decorated. The staff, very friendly. It is located in front of the river and conveys tranquility. A few meters from the center of Kutaisi. A place to relax and rotate around the city. Comfortable and very clean.

A cozy hotel.

We researched well on TripAdvisor and Google maps and ended up here and were all happy with it.
Firstly we booked a simple room downstairs, but when arriving we figured out the upstairs rooms are far much nicer, double the price but more than double as nice, we changed room.
It was just a couple of degrees outside so happy for the warm shower and equally well functioning heater/AC in the room.
The bed was good and room spacious. It was unfortunately too cold to sit outside.
Fridge was good for the beer and boiler equally good for the coffee.
Location is good, easily walkable to roundabout by Colchis Fountain where also some restaurants and banks are. Also easily walkable to Kutaisi market, white bridge and the cable car to Besik Gabashvili Park.
We had a rental car from the airport, and just parked on the main street by the Pharmacy. After passing by the famous roundabout, and on to Tsereteli Street, pass by a “shopping mall” on the left and then a pharmacy on the right, just thereafter is a very small sign with hotel names and you find “Paradise road” just down the lane/slope and you are there.
The breakfast (paid) was served in the “wine cellar kind of” and was very plentiful, two adult portions was good enough for 4. Very hearty food and very filling. 
We don’t eat cheese so they adjusted it accordingly to us.
Coffee was German style (as everywhere here) but we did bring Vietnamese, as German coffee is not to our liking. The milk and tea was great.
WiFi was good but internet generally sucks…nothing to do with the hotel.
We did forget one bag at the hotel and Sesili was extremely helpful in checking price, bin what was not valuable and sending it back to us in Hong Kong, thank you!
Anyhow, if (I hope so) we come back to Kutaisi, we will surely stay here again.
Yes, it is basic, but with the price and very helpful mom and daughter, we felt super welcome. We are two adults one 2 years old and one 5 years old.
And BTW, it is a hotel not hostel.

Great Stay!

We perhaps didn’t make the most of it as the peculiarities of Wizzair’s flight schedules to the UK must see a lot of visitors stay just for a single night. Hence, we din’t partake of the breakfast or local wine that was offered and which I am sure was good. The room was utilitarian – with no dividing wall of even curtain between shower and basin/toilet – a pet hate – but the cost worked out at about GBP 10 each so it’s hard to complain. We were also unlucky with the weather which was shocking and very wet indeed but were cosy enough in the room’s quiet confines and the town centre is very near.

Inexpensive and Basic

Owner happy to pick us up from the airport in the small hours. Pleasant outside seating area, and looks like a riverside garden is being developed. Parking mainly on the nearby street- seems perfectly safe. Quite a lot of difference between the various types of room.

Convenient for city centre sights and beside the river

The place is almost in the center of town, easy to reach. Top breakfast. Very friendly and available people. The owner also has a wine cellar that is very good.

The best place to stay in Kutaisi

I loved the family, loved the way they refurbished the whole place, loved their breakfast. This was the last and most pleasant stay during our whole Georgia trip, it felt liked an icing on the cake. You will feel most welcome every minute you spend here.

This is a proper hotel, not a hostel...and indeed a great one

Very centrally located, a short drive from the main railway station (5L by taxi). Nice warm welcome and a very spacious room with a large bathroom (and a good powerful shower). Most rooms have an area outside to sit, and there is a small courtyard overlooking the river with tables and chairs. There is access to a fridge to cool drinks. The bed was comfortable and the room had plenty of space and plugs etc. The aircon worked efficiently. The hotel is a short walk to the main square and restaurants and shops etc. They provide a transfer service to the airport for 30l per car. Would recommend as a non chain hotel option. 

Good location and clean

We stayed in the quadruple room on the ground floor. Very neat and clean room with an ensuite bathroom plus toilet. Great value for money: we paid ~ 40 USD for the night. The family that runs the hostel is very cordial and helpful. We ate breakfast that was fresh and home cooked @ 10GEL per person. Well worth it. 

Parking is possible on the street. The hotel is in the Centre  of this lovely town and everything is in easy walking distance. 

The only tip I would give is that they can install a small exhaust fan in the bathroom. With four people in the room, if there is an exhaust fan then the bathroom gets fresher quicker after each use. 

The best part: it’s on the shore of a fast flowing river. Sound of the water rushing over the rocks is a great music to fall asleep to. 

Ideal for a short pit stop in Kutaisi

We had a husband and a little kid, we stopped by for one night. Everything was very clean, neat, comfortable. The hosts were happy. The breakfast was delicious, as well. We got a recommendation from the host where to go for dinner, and we were very happy with the result.

Really clean and delicious breakfasts.

The location is excellent. Few steps from the city center. The owners are very hospitable and helpful. We were arriving in early morning (5 am) and I asked if its possibe to get water that early in the morning - on our arrival bottles of water were alredy in the room. Reallly nice georgian breakfast is available for 10 lari - a selection of fruit, panecakes, jams, honey, hachapuri, tea or coffee. 

The rooms were clean with fresh bed linen and towels. Good shower. 

Outside the hostel there are tables, where guests can sit and enjoy an evening tea and the chat. 

The owner recommended to us a trip to nearby Okatse canyon. We went with David, local driver and a good guide (at the moment in Russian only, but David has started to learn English). We had a really good time. David was so patient and considerate. He showed us the best swimming place in a river  - be sure not to skip it. He also helped us get tickets for the next day to Mestia.

When we were there, the owners were bulding next level of the guesthouse. There was a high level of noice from the machines througout the day from morning to evening. The owners apologised for the noise, however to make our stay really perfect, wish that the work was not underway during our stay. 

The windows in the room where we stayed were small and did not let a lot of light in. 

It is a property with a nice potential. The hostel is on the banks of the river. Hope that in the future the owners will make there a nice garden - that will help the guests really enjoy the place and feel like in paradise.
