We had two great nights, we discovered the beautiful city of Le Mans thanks to the valuable advice of the owners, very discreet but always available for interesting discussions in their beautiful garden!

Very welcoming,the owners are good advice for visiting the arcachon basin and the surrounding area. Very pleasant accommodation and independent of their home. Very good relationship with their guests. Full lunch. Very well located accommodation.I recommend staying at their home. Very good price ratio.

The Mandragora Head of the Book

Lionel is caring and close to his guests. The house, garden and swimming pool are pleasant and well maintained. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and functional, not to mention his breakfast and jam houses. An address to recommend in every way.

A wonderful relaxing place to stay.  Lionel the host was extremely warm, welcoming and accomodating. I stayed with my two children who loved the place and were also warmly welcomed. The swimming pool was very clean, and the rooms were spotless. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was generous and it was really great to sit with the other guests around the breakfast table. 
Although we had booked this as a stop off on our way home, we really enjoyed visiting Le Mans, which is a very pleasant city. The centre is only 10 minutes drive away and offers a good range of places to eat. Despite being so close to the city, La Brechere had the feel of being in the country.
I would highly recommend this place to stay.

It's perfect.

It's a great welcome from Lionel and Christelle, ready to do a service (Lionel went to see if the car's windshield was freezing the morning before we left). Perfect bed, very nice rooms and comfortable bedding! impeccable cleanliness and royal breakfast.

A dreamlike welcome

It's a beautiful house with a beautiful garden, a beautiful swimming pool, beautiful rooms decorated with taste, quiet and comfortable, really loved, breakfast is excellent, and of course the sympathy of Lionel and Christel.

I would recommend it!

Driving from Portugal to the Netherlands we stumbled past this most charming Chambre d'Hotes. 
The house and the room are furbished with a modern and romantic taste. We stayed in a big bedroom with a designed yellow bathtub in the middle of the room. 
The weather was not that good and we had a long trip to make, so we didn't use the heated swimmingpool, although Lionel invited us several times to do so.

Owner Lionel was surprised when we knocked on his door because we had made no reservations, but he welcomed us with opens arms. He speaks English well and told us enthousiastically about his house, the surroundings and his impressive frog-sculpture collection.

It was unfortunate that we stayed only one short night. This place is great to stay for a few days and to enjoy the house, the swimming pool and the old city of  Le Mans.

Fantastic!

I had the pleasure to be hosted at Lionel's place during a travel trip to Lemans circuit, and I have to say, It could not be any better: The position of the B&B is great, just outside Lemans, easy to reach the circuit (15 minutes without traffic) and close to Lemans town centre. It is perfect if you don't want to go camping and need a proper bed. The house is lovely, nicely french decorated, airy, light, fresh and surrounded by a beautiful garden, and there's a cosy swimming pool! Lionel is probably the perfect host. During my staying, he washed my clothes and prepared some really really nice breakfasts, home made jams, freshly baked french baguettes, yoghurt, proper nice coffee, milk (soya as well, he's very much into genuine and healthy food too), and if you like, he prepares fresh egg, ham or bacon. He was extremely kind to me, giving me some good advices regarding local restaurants and activities to do, He even offered me to take his bike for a ride! I couldn't be more pleased by the humanity, the warm welcome and the genuine hosting attitude of him and his fiancee. And they have a beautiful little cute dog! Last but not least, the people that were hosted on other rooms were also very nice, which reflects the way Lionel cares not just about the house, but also about the people who come to stay at his B&B. Thank you Lionel, I really hope to be your host soon!
