I'm not too much.

Bed bugs in my bed didn’t let me sleep for two nights. When I talked to the front desk, the staff only said « We are sorry ». They were all nice, the hostel would have been probably a good experience if there were not bed bugs, but « We are sorry » is not enough to solve the issue of the bed bugs and all the complications this gives to the travelers. Therefore I did not find them serious enough to deal with real problems nor to treat their customers as they deserve when such situations occur. And of course, I had to pay the full amount of my stay, with bed bugs or not, it does not make any difference to them. Such a pity that a potentially good place lost all the positive points when it was confronted to the trouble. Bed bugs can happen everywhere, but reaction to it shows who is genuine and serious in hospitality. I am not writing you this to do harm to your business but to warn other people like me to take care of themselves when you didn’t manage to do it. Wish you all the luck in your fight with the bed bugs.

Bed bugs

Good place to stay, nice and interesting  vibes. Felt comfortable meeting other people, and saw lots of socializing going on. Unfortunately I slept in a room next to the courtyard so I didnt get much sleep. The beds are not the most comfortable, and the rooms feel depressing and slapped together with some bunks and matresses.

Kitchen was really nice, staff really nice too, bar really nice, courtyard lounge area really nice. Location is good, close to a major metro line and grocery stores nearby. Clean bathrooms and showers.

Would sstay again if I knew I would be in a more isolated area.

Good if you're not in the courtyard

4 bedroom so perfect for a roots trip when you're already a little old like me:-) with shower + toilet + sink for the bedroom. warmly pro. I felt comfortable right away. The place is full of good vibes! Quality location price quite unbeatable (90th for 3 nights with breakfast)

Excellent value for money and services

I loved the stay! I still advise women's groups to book in the women's bedroom to be more comfortable and avoid snoring as much as possible. In addition, mixed bedrooms are often larger so they are more likely to wake up in the morning.

For my first little solo weekend, I chose this hostel because the photos seemed to show a warm atmosphere: I was not wrong! The hostel team is all nice, responsive and listening. The bedrooms are clean, the toilets and all the common areas are very well kept. The prices of the bar and everything are very good, really a place that encourages exchanges and meetings, we feel good about it. Thank you to the whole Flanner team for the good times I had!

A friendly hostel

we only stayed for one night. It is clean, free breakfast was good. Nice and sweet service at the front desk. 

Cons: our room is located right next to a bar which was playing loud music till late night. Otherwise comfortable beds, clean bathrooms.

I stayed here for 2 nights in July of 2020 right after their reopening following the end of lockdown in France

Pros:
 - Staff are very helpful and friendly

- I stayed in a mixed dorm, which i found to be really nice and comfortable. There is a fan to help with heat and an under bed locker, light and plugsocket for each bed 

Cons:
- Breakfast isn't free (3 euros), they claimed they needed to "plan the meals", which i found to be a little strange, i've worked in several hostels before and never have i seen this before. 

- The men's toilets really had a bad smell as did the kitchen

- Maybe i came at the wrong time, after all it was just a few weeks after lockdown had lifted in france but i felt a complete lack of atmosphere in the hostel, no one was talking to each other, in my dorm no wanted to interact or hang out which is ok but after the reviews online raving about the atmosphere here, i felt dissapointed.

- Last point, the check in is at 3pm, which is incredibly late....i arrived at 8am because of my bus and had to wait around for 7 hours before i could check in.

I just want to say this is a decent hostel with great staff who seemed to enjoy working there, i just feel after the reviews i read online a little dissapointed by what i saw, maybe i just came at the wrong time, right after the end of lockdown, but i can only comment on what i saw and experienced myself.

A little Disappointed

One night I came for a transit through Lyon, a very nice, friendly and warm place, a nice room, no one walks on it, a cheap bar with good suggestions, a very low price, I'll come back if I stop in Lyon again.

It's a great hostel.

The best is undoubtedly to get robbed in his room and my briefcase containing my important items be broken, locked locks, and open locker which the room guests have used lightly. The worst? The irresponsibility of the hotel staff, arguing that they have no money, insurance or any form of liability in the case. The filling? Being threatened with defamation when you post disgruntled reviews for a poor stay in the so-called hotel (see google reviews).
