It's a nice little room, a little narrow, a little clean, far enough from the city center, and there's nothing to see in the city except a great temple.

Hotel MG - Citotel

Just arrived at the 'hotel' from the outside looks like a B and B for 'down and outs'. Was so anxious about leaving the car outside that I remained in the car with keys in the ignition!The 'manager' appeared not to understand English though my husband was under the impression it was a pretence to avoid refunding our money as he would not allow my husband to even view the room. The description of the hotel and photo is pure fantasy!

Having travelled around France many times and worked in sales for 35 years, I realise that what is advertised is not always what you get. But this place takes the biscuit, the description of the location is correct, you can see the volcano, as can every other hotel( I use this description loosely and will come back to this). I noted that several young girls with babies where using the side entrance and the main entrance was closed. The picture of the front of the building on Booking .com and what I saw were world's away with many windows open with people smoking and music and general noise. The car park had what looked like an abandoned car in it and also a pram which might have had a baby in it! The area around the front of the 'hotel' had several bars with again music and men talking loudly, or what we call, shouting . The area is an old industrial site with very poor housing(  no problem with this as I was brought up in one such area,) but to call this place a Hotel is Fantasy . This establishment seems to house the British equivalent of DHSS. How they have two stars is beyond me. Please do not book this hotel, the manager/owner knows the score here and has obviously asked people to write exceptional reports that are not correct. Have now booked into an Ibis hotel, not the ritz but you know what you are getting. I am also taking the wife out to a good restaurant , hopefully she will forgive me.

Finally a breakfast worthy of this name with a quality/price ratio really very good room more than right and excellent reception and very nice short to recommend for a step on the road to vacation

Not going there it's disgusting no air conditioning or heating seriously even the hotels at the train station that its not expensive sounds better than this hotel you have my word and especially if you go to this hotel wouldn't take the room 307 it's the dirtiest

The staff is very friendly, we booked at the last minute and we were happy with this hotel.

That's good.

The receptionist arrived unpleasant to see contemptuous. The condition of the rooms is resistant to desired (humidity, cafar and other insects under the bed and in the washing machines, dirty bathroom and I feed my words and bed very uncomfortable). Breakfast, in my presence (weekend) is incomplete for me, which offers choice of moving quality example, region cheese unappetizing and I doubt their freshness, salt causes a soothing smell that sucks all the dirt of the restoration.

This is a well maintained budget hotel in a very good location.  It's in the Old Quarter of C-F and very convenient for the excellent tram system into town.  It's also close to the Michelin Factory where the "Michelin Adventure" will fascinate kids of all ages.  It isn't hard to get out of the city and into the Massif Centrale with its spectacular scenery.  The hotel isn't expensive.  It doesn't cater for evening meals but provides a good breakfast.  The Patron is very friendly and welcoming while his rooms - although somewhat small - are modern, well equipped and comfortable.
