Let's face it, Nadi is not cheap. Comparing prices we found this, an old school resort in an an area (Wailoaloa) that is soon to be covered in resort hotels. This place is old(er, not a shiny new condo. The people are great, food is excellent, the price is right. Locals use it when coming over from Suva, 'nuff said.

The staff was pleasant. The pool and room were not.The pool had visible green algae residue as we walked past and the room was poorly lit with an archaic lock assembly that did not appear at all secure. There were no toiletries except a tube of shampoo and remnants of previous occupants soap bars on top of the shower door rail.

Cannot recommend. Better options 1/2 block away.

We had been at a much more isolated full service resort 2 hours away so at first being back in a more urban setting was a shock but we did enjoy our stay.

The room was clean but no shampoo or conditioner, no milk in the fridge for tea or coffee.Next rooms radio very loud into our room. I was sick and trying to sleep but staff calling out loudly to each other was annoying. $20 corkage for wine opened in your room is outrageous. Staff were lovely and helpful.

I know most of the reviews are bad but the owners have changed I promise u . That u will have the best Fiji experience staying with them now . Food is great staff is friendly 5 mins to beach. 5 star

Friendly staff

We came from Airport and stay there for 1 night. Silence place, but sometimes people's living there speaking every evening by chinese 🤭 good for whom they learned Chinese))
Near beach, 2 min. Supermarkets and cafes. You can order some foods, breakfast, lunch, dinner,  dishes so biggest! Room clean, comfortable with fun. No aircond ((

For 1 or 2 nights 

The location is right next to the beach and there is plenty to do around the area. The other hotels arrange traditional dancing and other activities and they are only a short walk away. There is a restaurant that serve good food next to the pool and other restaurants nearby. The price is good and the receptionist is informative and helpful.

Not Bad!

I have given this place a low rating based purely on how the owners treat the staff. The rooms were basic but can't expect much for the cheap prices and the location is very good, close to the beach and plenty of places to eat a short walk away. 
However, the main issue is the staff conditions, they work 16 hours a day, 6 days a week for 3 FJD (which is around £1.50) an hour. Not only this but if you tip them, then the managers will come and take the cash off them. The staff were constantly working, while the owner sat around smoking and drinking tea all day, even had the courtesy to give my friend a dirty look when she asked to use the ashtray. The conditions are so bad that staff have to request at least 3 months in advance to have an extra day off. But the worst thing of all is that for their breaks they have to pay to be able to sit on a mattress on the floor in a storage room. 
Upon finding out all the horrendous things that went on behind the scenes I feel really bad about supporting an establishment that thinks this is an okay way to treat employees.

Staff were amazing

The location is great as it is close to the beach and beach bars. Staff was friendly too. However, it is way too expensive for what you get. Thin walls means you share everything with your neighbour, the hot water wasn't working.  They did not supply towels. The light in the bathroom cubicle wasn't working either. I discovered it too late at night to do something about it. Generally a dated place that overcharges. 


Overpriced 

Room with shared facilities was literally just a room with the world's thinnest walls. Had to inconvenience staff by asking for a fan. Shared facilities were blocked and staff untroubled. 

'Upgraded' to a private ensuite room which was little better. Awful beds. One single sheet for a double bed. 

As part of changing room we agreed to cancelling our original booking via booking.com. They put it through as a no show so we had to contest it to avoid being charged. 

Food also terrible. Worst place we've ever stayed. 

0 stars should be an option.
