We were in the hostel as a family over Christmas 2019 and had two pleasant double rooms. The hostel is located in the central square of Tartu, the walk to the train station takes about 20 minutes. It is a simple but very comfortable hostel on the third floor of a residential building. There is a good kitchen and a large living room. The communal bathrooms are neat.

Central location, cozy atmosphere

I had not visited hostels for a long time and this place was very nice change from hotels. The staff was friendly and the common room where guests can spend time is good way meeting new people. I had a single room and it was very basic. Bathroom is shared but that was in good shape, they also provide a towel. Free tea and coffee, and breakfast. There is also kitchen in which you can prepare you own food. The location is super: on the main old town square!

Very fun hostel

We went at the end of March to spend a weekend in Tartu and chose this hostel by recommendation.The location is ideal, literally in the center of the city.The hostel is located in a historic building in the central square, so there are a few floors without an elevator.The hostel is very picturesque, with a common area and very nice kitchen.In addition, they offer a very varied breakfast: milk, cereals, coffee, eggs, muesli, etc. You can also make coffee and tea whenever you want.The girl at the reception was very nice.

A very picturesque hostel.

I immediately liked this place despite having to climb 4 storeys up with my luggage and being lost in the square but I rang them up and the receptionist gave me very good directions. Staff are not there 24/7 but I felt safe still. 

The whole house looks super cosy and is the only hostel in Baltics I could do some washing on my own without paying for laundry! Lounge is also very nice, so is the kitchen. Simple breakfast - toasts and jam are provided. WiFi was good but I had data so didn't use it much.

The bathrooms are also clean and I was provided with towels. But there were only 2 so u need to wait a while as toilet and bathroom are together.

My only complaints are the pillows are already outta shape, bed could be a lot firmer and in the evening in spring.. many insects flew into the room. Can't tell what they are but they were gone by night time. More cleaning would be good, was a bit dusty in my dorm. 

Other than that, it is like a home away from home.

Felt like home

The hostel is perfectly located on the main square. It's clean, well équipée, with a nice kitchen, good bathroom and a beautiful common room. Breakfast is available at any time, which is good if you leave early. Welcome was good too. Wi-Fi everywhere. Only little flaw: the maîtresses are too soft.

Excellent choice

I arrived in Tartu by bus, from the busstation it is a 10minute walk. 

The location of the hostel great. It is at the town hall square and easy to find. 

When entering the building you have to go to the 4th floor. The stairs are quite dark, an extra light should be great :)

Hostel itself is nice. Great common area, great kitchen and breakfast.
Bed slept good!



Nice hostel

I liked this place very much when I stayed in Tartu and I will probably come back once again.
The hostel is situated on the main square, an easy walking distance to all the happening in the city. They allowed me to check in earlier and didn't bother me in the morning when I slept in the common room after having a few too many beers out in town.
Tartu is not a tourist paradise and finding cheap and nice places like this in such towns is always a big plus.

Comfortable beds, nice staff, great location

The hostel is a very large and spacious apartment, which actually occupies an entire floor. We rented two private rooms. Apart from the ceiling lamp itself, there is also a reading lamp, which is a separate thank you. Our rooms' windows went out into the courtyard, so from the side of the street there was no noise. The bed was spacious, very comfortable. In one room there was a desk, in the other room - a dresser and a side table, but no table. What a wonderful hostel.

The hostel itself is located in an old building with windows facing the central square, the Town Hall, on the 4th (or 3rd or 5) floor. Good kitchen, a light breakfast, clean laundry. I recommend to honor the administration. Due to the needs, or rather features of the hostel, the staff does not speak Russian and the phone is not shown for the evening.

A small hostel is located on the upper floor of one of the buildings on Town Hall Square. That is, it is ideally located, in the center, close to everything, near a cafe, a grocery store in 200 meters. There is a kitchen with everything necessary. There is a common area. Clean, including toilets and showers. Breakfast is simple, but better than nothing (especially relevant for early train trips, since there is nowhere to eat at the station).
