Son and his family have created a peaceful oasis by a small, quiet clean beach - seemed to be us and 8 other people when we stayed. Clean amd spacious beach facing bungalow. Enjoyed use of free kayaks and cold drinks and beer available from the fridge in the restaurant at leisure. The sound of the waves and tropical bird song is the only 'music' you'll hear here. Noone selling on the beach! Minh organised transport and boat to star fish beach and helped move us to our next hotel after 3 nights, south to Sunset Beach where the sea is littered and smelly after a storm with blaring K-pop from the hotel next door. Wish we'd stayed longer at Gold Sand - highly recommended if you like peace and tranquility with a wonderful laid back host - these kind of places are slowly being replaced with high rise accommodation aimed at wider Asian tourist market.
