Ended up staying here because the hotel we wanted was full. The only room they had available was the "family" room. It was dingy. There were stains on the sheets. Browsing through the hotel information booklet in the room we learned there were charges for drinking the bottled water on the table (every other hotel we stayed at had complimentary bottles of water), and even supposedly charges for using the towels or hair dryer ( that was new). We tried to book a bus to Ninh Binh through the hotel. The front desk woman seemed very uninterested in helping us at all and unfriendly/ borderline rude. She discussed in front of us how much to mark up the bus. I understand that's how they make a profit, but I still don't think that should be discussed right in front of the customer. The room even though it was up high got a lot of street noise. In the morning we saw several other guests complaining about the noise in their rooms too. Comparing it to the other hotel we stayed at in the area that was around the same price we were very disappointed in what we got. Overall we felt like they were all about getting money out of you and not trying to help you have a good trip.

Dissapointing

Spent 2 nights there and were quite happy with the room and the service. We loved Hanoi ! It's a busy city and this hotel is near everything. Connected with a new friend we'd met on a boat trip on the Mecong River, so we got to see several very interesting places  with him.

Happy and lucky in Hanoi

We arrived to this hotel and booked one night with an option for a second night (we told them we would let them know in the morning) . 
10 minutes before 12 they tell us our room is already booked and we need to leave. They could have asked us if we were staying another night but whatever.
The worst thing was they told us we had to leave in 5 minutes! My boyfriend asked if they could give us at least an hour to find a place to stay and they refused!!! I was sick that day and they just didn't care. We had to rush out and start looking for a place. Very bad experience. 
Room is fine, nothing special and a bit run down. Poor Wi-Fi. 


Very disappointing staff 

I like the location although it took several minutes for the taxi driver to know where it is. I like that other attractions are just a walking distance. The manager, Mr. Thanh is very accommodating. Hs wife even drove me around the city to look for Ban com.

Great stay

Back in Hanoi for second time in 2014.  As in the past booked into Lucky 1 but they were full.  Accepted an offer of accommodation at same rate in Lucky 3.  Spent two nights there and it was very nice, much newer than the Lucky 1.  Whilst everthing was fine I much prefer the Lucky 1 and moved there once a room became available.

Another great stay, just delightful even though it needs some investment.

Tip for people watchers.  Sit in one of the window seats at about 6 in the evening and watch...
