The hotel lies just off the Gran Sabana, in one of the areas which are safer of this part of Caracas. Staff are helpful (as much as they can), the room I got was large, clean and well kept; the bathroom was also quite large. While the hotel definitely shows the passing of time since its opening, it is well maintained and I found it appropriate for a mid-range hotel. Breakfast was rather basic, but it did the job. There is a Guardia Nacional checkpoint just between the hotel and the Gran Sabana, but they never stopped me, I had no problems walking around.
