This hotel was good for the price.  The room was non-smoking and really did not smell like smoke which I find pleasantly unusual. The air conditioning worked well.  The bed was one of the most comfortable I have found.  There is very little parking and it is tight and hard to fit the car in but the young man who registered me had saved the spot as I had booked ahead of time.  He was very accommodating and polite.  The neighborhood was definitely not upscale but was quiet.

Good value hotel

The front desk staff was the rudest I've ever dealt with. Talking down to me and being inappropriate. The female manager/owner was especially condscending and inappropriate in her tone as if I was a vagrant or hooker off the street, with racially-charged overtones-- not that anyone would deserve to be spoken to in such a manner. This Indian woman addressed me, an African American female older than she, as if I was street trash. Not acceptable anywhere especially in the USA, my homeland.  This establishment needs new owners/managers who treat guests respectfully and are who can at least cover up their racism. I am sure she would have addressed me differently if I was not black.

We stayed there one night, because it is close to the Airport (15 min) - but it is also a good location for trips to Santa Monica, Hollywood and LA downtown.
We didn't feel unsecure in that area.
Fridge and Micro are in the room. The Rom was clean and there are a Lot of tv channels. Wifi worked fine.
No coffee.
