This Guest House is an absolute gem! The owners are a lovely, helpful couple, who will tell you all you need to know about Weymouth. They were most welcoming, and let us know where we could eat, and what was going on in town.
Our room was overlooking the front of the property, but as it is in a dead end road, it was lovely and quiet there. 
The room was plenty big enough, with a variety of tea and coffee, comfortable bed, and ensuite shower room. Breakfast in the morning was freshly cooked, plentiful, and very tasty. As well as the cooked breakfast, there was a variety of cereals, toast, coffee, tea, etc.  The surrounding areas have some breath taking walks along the Jurassic Coast, and we walked the clifftop walk along to Durdle Door and back, in glorious weather.  Would love to go back and do it again.

Relaxing weekend away

Spent five nights here Had a lovely stay. Room was immaculate and I can't praise the hosts Jon & Penny enough. Breakfast was amazing. Can't recommend this B&B enough, Would definitely stay there again. 

Wonderful B&B

The breakfast was brilliant. I don't really like cooked breakfasts as a rule but theirs was superb especially the breakfast bagel. In the room the amount of tea, coffee and milk was far in excess of what is usually provided and as a bonus there was milk in the fridge behind the bar that you could get at any time.  It really couldn't be faulted in any respect. Penny and Jon are the perfect hosts and are there for you at any time of the day.

Superb attention to detail throughout the hotel.

A warm welcome was received on arrival and we stayed 3 nights with friends on a diving trip. I’m a bit of an accommodation snob so would normally opt for a 4 or 5 star hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised with the Eastney.

It’s situated in a large Victorian house dating from 1885, but very modern with a homely charm.

There are 10 rooms with varying sizes all with en-suite.

I stayed in room 22 with a dive mate but the room can accommodate 4 as there is a double bed and a single that has a guest bed.

The very clean room came with a recently refurbished en-suite, a full bath, good shower, toilet, basin and bath / hand towels plus shower gel etc, fresh each day.

Also a 40” flat screen TV and remote, dressing table and stool, bedside tables with lamps, wardrobe with hangers, two chairs and a small table with complementary teas, coffee hot chocolate etc. 

The view from the room was over the adjacent properties into Weymouth harbour and the coast line beyond. See photo.

Public areas include a small bar/lounge/TV Room/Library that also has board games, a football table and an honesty bar!! YES a honesty bar!! That had a good selection of bottle beers and ales, spirits and mixers, red and white wine, soft drinks etc that are sold at a very reasonable price. i.e bottle of Corona £2!! Double 18 year old whiskey £2.

The breakfast room is large and airy with natural sunlight flooding in.

Food is cooked to order and is fresh, tasty and good quality. There are a good selection of vegan choices which pleased the two vegans in our group, cereals, toast with real butter, preserves, tea, coffee, juices, water etc.

Outside areas included a patio garden with tables and chairs with views to the sea.

They also have covered kit drying area to hang dive gear etc up.

Parking is limited (where isn’t) but we got a large van, a pickup truck and two 4WD outside ok.

All in all a great place to stay. We will definitely be staying again.


Great Find!

Beautiful place, near to the town, super clean, really nice breakfast, and they set all the tables following their guesses so everyone has a table set up waiting for you in the dinning room. Penny and John were lovely with us. Parking is limited. Definitely I will visit them again!

Excellent!

Immaculately presented guest house and located within easy walking distance of the main harbour and Town. Warm introduction by Penny and everything explained at the outset to make our stay extremely comfortable. An excellent bedroom with a superb en-suite bathroom. Tea making facilities available and a very comfortable bed. A very acceptable and varied breakfast menu served in a comfortable dining room. No need to look any further as this really is a most relaxing guest house. A small honesty bar and lounge will compliment your stay. Jon and Penny Quilter are excellent hosts. Well done.

Well Appointed and an  Extremely Comfortable Guest House

Warmly welcomed by Penny and Jon to Eastney for a 2 night stop to visit family in the area. 10 rooms in a large double fronted property on a very quiet street. The room at the top on the third floor was perfect-clean , spacious, double bed, ensuite shower, plenty of storage, lovely view, tv, fluffy towels ! Breakfast was a big hit, the full jobbie, eggs any which way, a very full plate to start the Morning off, good coffee, cereals, fruit etc . Comfortable sitting room on ground floor, all the local info you could possibly need. Honesty Bar a nice touch. Little garden at the rear for guests to sit with a sea view, plenty of parking available. Single key worked for bedroom and front door. Did the 15 min walk to Nothe Fort, coastal path, then along the Esplanade, all around Weymouth. Also up over Portland- Cove Inn for lunch with a view! Try the mohitos at Nautico Lounge! 
Thanks so much to Penny and Jon- relatively new venture for them (1 year) but it ticked all the boxes for me. Lovely people at a super place to stay.I look forward to returning soon. 

Will definitely come back. Super first trip to Weymouth

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights while I competed in the ironman competition in Weymouth. Penny and John are genuinely lovely people and I felt very welcome in their seaside hotel. The beds were comfortable, the showers were good and Weymouth bay is a close walk away. Breakfast was absolutely awesome too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Weymouth and I will stay in the Eastney again if I come back here. Thank you.
