Psssst! This is a magical place....exceptional staff, fab food, beautiful hotel and lovely owners! Just go and see for yourself....recommend the Writer's Room but I'm sure the others are just as lovely.

Beautiful hotel in everyway

Stayed here with my wife in the hideaway, as part of a wedding present, it was quite simply amazing. The staff are all very very polite, friendly and attentive. The scenery and location are perfect as well, exactly what you’d want for a quiet winter break. The room itself was very clean and nicely laid out, with beautiful interior and amenities. Not really sure what else to say, this place is truly a slice of heaven on the south coast.

Had a fantastic weekend here, stayed in the hideaway, the staff were excellent and the service was great. Breakfast was delivered to our room for the time we ordered it. Accommodation was clean and tidy and very comfortable. I even got a birthday card from the team. Highly recommend.

Birthday treat weekend

Gorgeous hotel situated in the most beautiful little village. Hotel staff were warm and welcoming, the breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. We dined in the restaurant for my husband birthday the food was outstanding… highly recommend 

Perfect getaway

Amazing all round! Service superb, staff friendly, rooms individually styled. We stayed in ‘the boathouse’ room which was clean, bed was comfortable and had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was really good with a buffet of pastries, juice etc and then hot options which included a full English. Advise eating in the restaurant in the evening and booking as there are only 10 covers but the food was superb. Would absolutely recommend this place and definitely would stay again. Thank you to all the staff for making it special!

Totally amazing!

If I could leave a 6* I wouldn’t think twice! 

What an incredible little hotel! Wowww we are so very lucky to have stayed at this place. It was my partners birthday yesterday so we stayed at The Limestone hotel (treat) we firstly were booked in to the boathouse sweet which was a lovely bright modern room with en-suite. I asked if the hideaway was available and it was just our luck! We stayed in the most beautiful cabin! We had kitchenette with fridge/freezer and a beautiful sitting area to dine at. The bed was by far the most comfortable and spacious bed we have ever slept in. Definitely need to find out where we can get one from! We also had The amazing Wild England products to indulge in! But this time we had the orange & cardamom shampoo & conditioner with shower gels. Incredible and will be buying some for home! We also wanted to thank the amazing Oleg who actually waited on us and brought us dinner to our hideaway cabin! The service by all staff was fantastic and very welcoming! Smiles all round! Thank you for making my partners birthday so special! We will have to visit again! A huge thank you to Ed!

Spent 2 nights in the Limestone Hotel, West Lulworth and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All of the staff are wonderful - friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in Writers Room which was very comfortable, had nice views over the village and a bath (with shower over) with plenty of hot water for a long soak at the end of the day exploring the coastal path.

We ate in the restaurant on both nights and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Wonderfully fresh crab and scallops for starters; monkfish, red mullet and hake for mains and a fabulous cheese board to round up each meal. The fish was cooked exceptionally well (we are pretty fussy and loath overcooked fish), presented beautifully with flavours and accompaniments that all wonderfully complimented each other, and the little touches like warm bread with olive oil and balsam to nibble were greatly appreciated. The small little bar had a nice selection of drinks on offer from cocktails to local gins and beers, plus nice wines; and the terrace overlooking the village provided a nice place to enjoy them. Breakfast offered a good choice inc pastries, cereals, smoothie shots and a menu with a choice of hot plates.

A lovely place to base yourself and explore the coastal path with iconic Durdle Door less than half an hours walk along the coastal path and Lulworth cove a mere 5-10 minute walk away. Good circular walks from the door and a warm friendly welcome upon return.

When we booked, we looked at all the accommodation available in West Lulworth and had the choice of all places. We booked Limestone Hotel as we felt it had the best reviews (for service, food and quality) and seemed to have an honest offering in terms of price. In hindsight, and after visiting all the others whilst there, I am really pleased we booked Limestone Hotel and would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for comfortable and welcoming accommodation and/or a nice restaurant for a meal to sample the local seafood (meat and vege dishes also available - do pre-book, it was busy each night!).

Welcoming, comfortable, great food and fantastic location. 

Stayed for one night in the Hideaway. Very clean luxurious cabin set away from the main house surrounded by trees. All of the usual amenities you would expect from an establishment of this stature. Visited by a squirrel on our decking. We ate at the restaurant in the evening which was superb. Pate to start, pork medallions & chicken Kiev for main course & dessert was Dorset apple cake. Every course was amazing, the service is very attentive but not overbearing, staff know their menus very well. Full English Breakfast was served on the decking outside. All local produce beautifully presented. What a beautiful location. We will be back.

Fantastic food & accommodation

I cannot rave about this hotel more. The breakfast was freshly cooked, lovely fruits and pastries as well. 
The rooms were lovely, with refillable water bottles and biscuits in jars not plastic. Shannon was the most wonder manager / staff member who couldn't do enough for us. Oh - LOADS of GF means as well. 
Our dogs were also welcome. The hideaway is truly wonderful!

Beautiful staff, delicious food, perfect rooms

We spent 4 nights in the writers room for half term. We felt thoroughly spoilt and definitely want to return. All the staff are lovely and friendly and looked after us very well. Food is superb - particularly like the daily smoothie. Room very comfortable, had plenty of space and great views out across the village and an allocated parking space, good bathroom and large fluffy towels. Coming back to have a pot of tea in the garden (in February!!) and a pre-dinner beverage in the snug while we perused the menu was wonderful. Lulworth Cove is just a few minutes walk down the road on the footpaths. Castle Pub in the village also very good. We have stayed in many hotels and this has to be among the very best.
