A wonderful family run bed and breakfast, within walking distance of the seafront. We were made to feel very welcome by John and Martine, they certainly were the hosts with the most. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they were a happy, helpful and humourous couple. The en suite room was very clean, cosy and welcoming. Breakfast was a delight, with special dietary needs catered for. It was a joy to spend time there. Would we stay there again? Too right we would.

Best place in town.....in my opinion!

Great situation, close to the sea and town centre.  Lovely, friendly hosts;  the whole establishment was exceptionally clean.  There is a lovely lounge for guests’ use & we were told we were welcome to use the dining room in the evening if we decided to have a takeaway, and the clearing up would be done for us.  Easy to find and parking wasn’t an issue.  We would definitely return to this guest house.

Great B&B, exceptionally clean & comfortable

After a small mishap with the keys we had an absolutely wonderful stay. Very comfortable room and bed. We had a wonderful breakfast every day and John and Martine were such attentive and wonderful hosts. Would definitely stay here again. Made to feel very welcome and nothing felt like too much trouble.

Lovely stay

Have just come back from staying at the Sandhaven and I utterly recommend this lovely Guest House. I had the smallest double and it was perfect. Lovely hot shower and a really comfortable bed. Martine and John are wonderful hosts and really care about their guests. If there are vegetarians/vegans in your group this is a great place to stay. Martine is so thoughtful and  made sure there was oat milk for making hot drinks in my room and there was a delicious vegan full English breakfast available. I am already missing John's breakfasts. Will definitely be booking again at the Sandhaven. 

A wonderful stay with John and Martine.

The Sandhaven ticked all boxes for me 😊 Great location, room was good, breakfast very good! John and Martine very good hosts. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if I was in Swanage.

Parking is tight in front of property but, I always got a space within 5 mins walk and John even offered to pay for the parking if I didn’t. That is going the extra mile! 

All in all, a very good stay ❤️

The Sandhaven ❤️

It’s really like coming home when we stay at the Sandhaven. Our room was immaculate and well-kept. Breakfasts are cooked to order and you never have to wait long for food to arrive! I much appreciated the extra supply of oat milk sachets; that meant a lot to me.

Another wonderful stay with John and Martine!

The property was clean and comfortable, smelled really fresh. Our room was compact but fully functional, as described on the booking.
Breakfast was delicious and the perfect portion sizes.
Very well located, a few minutes walk to the seafront.
John and Martine were the perfect hosts, really friendly and welcoming. 
We will definitely stay again in the future. 

Enjoyed our stay

We stayed at the Sandhaven on August bank holiday weekend, lovely spotlessly clean sea view rooms, only a very short  walk downhill to swanage beach. The hosts were friendly and very helpful with a great home cooked breakfast what more do you need.

Perfect sea side b&b

We stayed at the Sandhaven for 3 nights last week. We received a very warm welcome from Martine. Our room was spacious with a small sitting area. The breakfasts were tasty and plentiful. You chose your menu for breakfast the evening before. The hosts cannot do enough for you to make your stay a memorable  one. They go the extra mile to make sure this happens. Unfortunately Queen Elizabeth died when we were at the Sandhaven. Martine and i were devastated. We really bonded as our views were the same about this tragic event. Even so, we had a very enjoyable stay here and would highly recommend the Sandhaven.

Excellent stay

Lovely hosts with lots of local knowledge and recommendations, nothing was too much trouble- ample breakfast choices and the eggs were perfect. Location was a stone's throw away from the beach too. Room was cute, with nautical touches and hot shower. As it was the height of summer, there was a room chiller available too- great addition! Definitely recommend and would 100% return, thank you John and Martine for a wonderful stay!
