My friends and I used the bar following a performance at the White Rock Theatre, it was getting late and the coffee machine was being cleaned. 
No problem for the young man behind the bar, he prepared a large pot of coffee for us plus tea!
Delicious! 
He and the other Barista on duty, sorted out some empty spirits bottles for me, I don't drink, but my hobby is to Decoupage bottles!  
They also found me a carrier bag to carry them away in! 🤗
Very helpful and friendly staff. 🤗
I promise to do a nice Tip Jar for your bar, bring it I when I next visit!🙂

We wanted to eat dinner outside on the terrace and were delighted that the White Rock Cafe allowed us to do so. The waitress was friendly and welcoming and made us feel very relaxed. The food was fine - great chips! Would be lovely on a sunny afternoon but even on a wintry evening it was very enjoyable.

This is my favourite hotel & I will be back.  First time staying and I genuinely did not want to leave, I even booked another night.  The staff and owner are very obliging, friendly and with a smile.  The food was absolutely beautiful and with quick service so your not waiting around for ages.  Room service is very quick also with no added extra cost.  The rooms are quiet, extremally clean with plenty of towels, tea/coffee & toiletries.  Highly recommended.

Christmas @ The White Rock

We had an overnight stay in a standard double at the rear of the hotel. Although the least expensive, and probably smallest room option, it was perfect for our needs. The room was well equipped and the furnishings well maintained. The bathroom and bedroom were both spotlessly clean. We didn’t have breakfast but the coffee was excellent. The staff in all areas were welcoming and friendly. We couldn’t park in the hotel car park but reception gave us a pass for the pier car park opposite which was valid until 11am of the day of our departure. The one suggestion I would make is the shower in the bath really should have a grab handle for safety when getting in and out. 

Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent hotel

Some months ago I booked a room to stay 11th & 12th November. I prefer to pay at the time of booking and saw no reason why I would not be staying. However, 3 days before my intended departure I had a fall which resulted in facial injuries which included having to have my bottom lip stitched back together. There was no way I could make the journey of over 200 miles to Hastings. I could not get a refund on my train or theatre tickets and expected it to be the same for the hotel but I did email the hotel as a matter of courtesy. Imagine my surprise when I got a reply advising that I had informed them within the period when I could have a refund.  One hears so much these days about people having problems getting refunds from companies so I think it is only fair to put it out there that the lovely staff at The White Rock Hotel gave me a refund when I didn't even know I was entitled. Thank you. I do not have any immediate plans to visit Hastings but I hope to in the future and to stay at The White Rock Hotel.

Wonderful staff

Really great location with sea views, even nice when the weather got a bit worse one day as the seafront gets rather windy. 

Room nice and large as well (we had a seafront one on second floor). They also had a good selection of vegan options on the menu which was a really nice surprise as thought we would struggle as wasn't aware they had options, the tofu hash for breakfast was a nice change. 

Lastly, liked that they allow dogs in, even though didn't have mine with me, enjoyed seeing dog visitors around the hotel.

Location, relaxed and dog friendly

Hastings has an absolute luxury by having the White Rock. I was a walk in for breakfast, not a guest in a room. Absolutely banging breakfast. Warm welcome from reception and sent through to the bar, swift order for a Full Jill (their name for a small full English) bloody Mary ordered, food and drink served on the beautiful (and unique to Hastings, only) al fresco veranda. The sausages were well sourced, on the price point, they were tasty and delicious. Eggs fluffy, mushrooms were cooked well and not dark. The kitchen team were on point. Front of house absolutely smashed it. Always on hand, friendly and prosseional, checked back in minutes to make sure that the food and drink were up to standard.... loved it

A quick glance at the lunch and dinner menu made me happy. Simple and homely. Would definitely use for a business lunch, family reunion or, dare I say a tinder date.

Even the owners have me a fond hello and goodbye.

Sussex at it's early morning best

Lovely hotel, great accomadation. Our room overlooked the sea. Beds were very comfy and bathroom and shower were great. 
Hairdryer in room and enough coat hangers. 
Tea  coffee, hot chocolate, water and biscuits daily.
Great location and central to the town and right opposite is the beach and sea and pier.
Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful.

I had a awful start to my day , this was the only hotel that had a double bed room , the manger was my hero that day to me and my children , lovely man and stuff, when you are a guest at the hotel you get 20% for your food , you can also sit out side and watch the seafront etc 
rooms were clean daily will def be coming back

I wasn’t staying at the hotel but had the gluten free afternoon tea this week and I can honestly say that it was the best gluten free afternoon tea that I have had anywhere. It was tasty, varied and beautifully presented. Well done and to the staff too who were attentive and pleasant. I’ll be back!
