I have to say, Yet again a lovely visit and was greeted with a friendly smile from Chloe H, Chloe M and April! Food and company was immensely good. Thank you so much everyone for such an outstanding service!  Looking forward to seeing you all very soon!

Lunch 🥗

Lovely clean room, everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Very quiet when we were here, perfect for exploring St Andrews. We could park right outside too. The historical beach nearby was stunning and award winning too!
Lots of local places to eat and drink and tonnes to explore even for non golfers!
Staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Very pleasant stay!

Looked great from the outside. Not the friendliest welcome we experienced in the town. Despite being quiet when we arrived we had to go to the bar and ask for menus and wait and age for any service. The fish and chips seemed a safe bet but I was shocked to find I could have only peas or tartar sauce not an option to have both according to the server one or the other. Macaroni was watery and bland. Drinks were good and place looked nice but lacked atmosphere but hey it was a quiet lunch time. Place is a little on the outskirts of the town but a good stop in on the way back to our hotel.

Wouldn’t rush back

Clean friendly and good value. rooms are warm can't open window because of road traffic  but thats a peraonal choice for me as I like cool rooms also had a fan , iron , pleasantly of coat hangers and lots of room for stuff  , no food served in January

Excellent wee pub,place to stay

I have heard nothing but good things about the food at The New Inn, firstly the place is stunning and clean! Staff were really friendly also. 

We ordered a Lamb Roast and a Turkey Roast. My friend had the lamb and really enjoyed it. I had the Turkey which was actually the best Turkey Roast I have ever had! Cooked to absolute perfection! Roast Tatties were crisp on the outside, fluffy in the inside, pigs in blanket - tasty af! 

Out of all the establishments in St Andrews I have eaten at - the New Inn is now a Number 1! Can not wait to try some other dishes.

Best Roast Dinner in St Andrews. Hands Down!

The room was standard. It was clean and a good size. The overall hotel and room was fine/average. The television worked well. The bathroom was fine too - nothing special. The location of the inn is about a 25 minute walk to downtown St Andrews, which is a bit farther than expected. It's a lovely walk though. The pub downstairs is closed during certain days so you have to walk awhile to find food. 

A Fine/Average Option

Firstly I would like to thank the staff on attendance 22/08/23. Come.in for a meal at 6.30pm, warm and friendly welcome and made to feel at home, Caitlin and the other girl (apologys didn't get name) were fantastic hosts... the food was absolutely delicous and I can't not fault at all, and can not wait to try rest of menu.. I can't thank the staff enough for the hospitality received tonight, with my partners 4 year old running riot they done  nothing but entertain her and make sure she was comfortable and for the that 5* is not enough, this is and will.be my go to before anywhere in st andrews for choice! Again thank you staff for tonight and thanks to the 3 drunk woman sat mext to us that made our night with the shots, was a truly fantastic evening and can't not praise the staff enough and food.. look forward to the return 


Great venue

We visited for a family meal. The food was amazing and the staff were so lovely. Caitlin and Ellie gave the best service and made it such a special night for us all, my daughter thought they were amazing. We will definitely ne back very soon.

Amazing

Visited with my dad and our dogs. Only noticed the pub while walking back to the caravan park. I called and the girl advised they could accommodate gluten free and had a table. I had gluten free fish and chips and my dad had scampi and chips. Both meals were excellent and the service! The dogs got some treats too!! A lively little pub and would definitely return! Excellent value for food too! Thank you 😊 

Excellent meal, lovely visit 

Lovely meal, freshly made for you which we really appreciated. Good varied menu with lots of choice to suit everyone. Excellent welcoming service by staff. Good atmosphere. Clean bar. Highly recommended. Looking forward to a return visit.
