Visited for a wedding reception of friends. The hotel was dirty and run down, owners attitudes were appalling especially regarding any complaints. Hotel had been promised exclusively for wedding party and overnight guests, when we arrived the car park was full of vans and the rooms had been hired to tradesmen. My friends who hired the hotel were told there was disabled access (2 guests were wheelchair users) yet we discovered there was no such access. Avoid this place at all costs.

Horrendous experience

Just to inform every one that Tudor Court in Olton is no longer open has been closed for a while. The property has changed ownership and is now a day nursery and preschool called Bright Horizons which opened this year

No longer a restaurant 

Good value and friendly owners. There are some poor reviews on here and I can't say they were fully justified really. 

If you're expecting travel lodge / holiday inn rooms you're mistaken. It's a period building with relaxing features. 

What else to expect:

Clean and tidy room with no mod cons. 

Slow but usable internet. (Ok for emails/web but unsuitable for Skype calls or steaming video)

Great breakfast and lovely building. 

 

Nice and friendly 

So, as a business traveller on a budget this week I needed to stay close to the NEC and pay less than £100 not easy.
I booked Tudor Court for two indidual nights with 2 different rooms.
Bridal Suite £66 single room £55.
B&B has parking a pleasant welcome a cosy looking bar, although I didn't go in.
The rooms are spotless everything functions.
The decor and the beds have not been updated in many years although as I said all clean all functions.
The four poster in the bridal suite had no headboard so pillows slipped down the back of the bed and both beds are hard. No duvets - sheets and blankets.

Is it a bad choice? Probably for a chain hotel traveller but on a budget it was ok.

Cosy old world charm, nice owner, pretty efficient check in - sign in the visitors book and get taken to your room.

Would I stay again? Only if my budget forced me.

It's ok and functions well just need a comfort bed.

Time forgot this B&B but 

The hotel looks good from the outside,is very warm on arrival,and the welcome from the owners was also very good as was the lovely breakfast, regretfully it was downhill from there.We had to carry our suitcase up 4 flights of stairs to our room and we could not believe the state of it.The light switch was by the door so going to bed you had to feel your way as there was no other light that would reach the beds,it helped that I was able to touch the ceiling either side of the room as it was that narrow.The general condition of the room made it look very tired,door closer was loose,sink plug wouldn't go down,kettle switch was broken,sink light was broken, hot water was not more than a trickle,ceiling bulb broken,light and shades very dusty and cobweb covered, despite the radiator being on it got very cold, I could go on.We understand that the room was cheap but we have stayed at other budget hotels that were so much better
