The hotel is average, but the staff went above and beyond to make my stay a good one. They are friendly, professional and efficient at providing a good service.

Staff are excellent

Having stopped at Premier Inn Shrewsbury several times before I knew what to expect, This stop was a necessity due to my having work done on my house to allow me to live there longer, (adaptations for long term illness). The Premier Inn is ideally located across from the attractive river, there are so many things available to do/ visit in the near vicinity. Boat trips, Castle, great shops, attractive historic buildings, beautiful parks etc. Ideal for the able bodied as much is up quite steep hills, alas I am no longer able to enjoy all that Shrewsbury has to offer but when I was not so ill in the past I have enjoyed it all. I would definitely recommend Premier Inn Shrewsbury  

A great location

I paid £90 for me and my husband and from the start of check in it was terrible. We arrived at 2:30, went to the desk to check in and they wanted an extra £10 for early check in...half an hour, check in itself was terrible and stressful then the room was awful, wallpaper hanging off the walls, wall filler not sanded or flush at all...stuck out soo bad, the windows don't open and air con temp only goes down to 19... just awful woul not recommend  

Wouldn't recommend 

Premier Inn generally offers a known product.  Our recent staying Shrewsbury however was not usual... The room was astonishingly hot and impossible to get a good night's sleep.  With windows " secure " and air con locked to a low of 19 Deg, it was impossible to get anything like a cool room.  Staff first suggested they would " adjust " the settings remotely...  Which is not how a shared HVAC system works, then found a fan to move the warm air about.  ... but it didn't address the fundamental problem.   Why can't you just open a window these days? Or at least bd given the option of turning heating below 19 Deg

Astonishingly hot bedroom made sleep impossible 

Have stayed here  a few times, and this was a little disappointing. The room smelt musty, and the bathroom light did not work. We then found the bathroom fan not working and damage to the hair dryer. These items were sorted by the manager.
Breakfast was also not as good. There seemed to be a lack of staff and quing for food that was often not available. The staff that  were there were friendly and helpful.

Shrewsbury Easter 24

Stayed here for a business trip. Rooms was spotless. Restaurant service was great, nothing too much trouble. Had a great stay. Thank you, might come back with the family next time as didn’t see much of the town centre and can imagine its very pretty in December.

Spotless

Good location. Staff good but not enough of them. Staff were very nice but there was a distinct shortage. Reception staff were required to serve at bar and when bar staff were there, they disappeared to serve restaurant patrons.

Birthday break

Good location, parking nearby (although concerned with the missing chunks of concrete from the structure!) room was one of their new premium ones which was well appointed and clean.
Had problems getting the Wi-Fi to work consistently and was annoyed that I had to set up an account to use it. There was also an annoying high pitched noise when laying in bed sounded like something in the headboard almost like having tinnitus very annoying!

Good in parts

Needs a good deep clean and a redecoration of the bedrooms.  

Room 314 Looking tired and shabby.  Odd that the window doesn’t open and although the air con is good it leaked and there was a smell of vomit.  

Room and bathroom dirty, walls marked, mold in the shower head, loo dirty, carpet stained etc etc but staff friendly and breakfast nice.

Conveniently located hotel. Good breakfast and clean room. Parking is available and within easy walking distance to excellent riverside located local restaurants. This hotel’s star is Kate, an amazing Duty Manager who is extremely helpful and caring. She’s an asset to this hotel.
