We stayed in the Garden Cottage, which was lovely. My only complaint, and it isn't really a complaint, is that people in the garden can look straight into your sitting room, so you don't really have any privacy downstairs. Having said that, it wouldn't stop me from coming back. It is a very peaceful place. The bed was very comfortable and the shower head is huge. Lovely towels and toiletries. A previous reviewer moaned about the breakfast, but I think their comments were unfair. The only bit I agree with is that two eggs is a little stingy. However, the two jars of jam are small, but not miniature – much smaller ones exist. Yes, the butter is cut off a bigger patty, but there's enough. The loaf of bread is a decent size. There was a jug of milk and another of orange juice. There was fruit compote, two unknown flavoured yogurt pots (homemade), two mini boxes of cornflakes, a big jar of rice krispies, and another of muesli. How is that not enough? 
The folder in the main room is full of useful information – places to eat and visit. Some information on local walks from the cottage would have been nice.

Very peaceful and comfortable 

Absolutely beautiful, from start to finish everything was just perfect, stunning surroundings, cottage was gorgeous, well stocked, beautifully decorated, felt relaxed from the second I arrived, lovely cosy feel, the bed is the most comfortable one I have ever slept in, duvet and pillows unbelievable!! Breakfast amazing, Everything was just perfect

Absolutely beautiful!!

Amazing accommodation ideal for a couple , very comfortable, lovely quiet location but not far to drive to Sherborne.All kitchen essentials provided . Lovely comfy bed.Bathroom/shower perfect.Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Location was peaceful, cottage snug, perhaps too snug.  Lots of sideways walking to avoid hitting our heads on a cupboad by the bedroom door as we went in and out to the bathroom.  Shower no power.  No interaction with the owners whatsover, not been anywhere before where the hosts have not welcomed us or checked in during the stay.  The breakfast was poor.  Two adults for two mornings, breakfast provided in the fridge was:- one miniature jar of jam decanted from a larger, one miniature jar of marmalade decanted from a larger, only TWO eggs that we didn't want to fight over so we left them, a piece of butter cut off a larger block in a tiny bowl and a small cob loaf (not enough butter or spreads provided to make use of this).  I chose the accommodation over alternatives as "breakfast was provided" however I do not feel that this promise was met.  A tin of beans, an extra two eggs and a pack of bacon surely would not have been too expensive to provide a couple for two weekend breakfasts?  Bottom line, I would not recommend this to a friend.  Also, please note that the picture on booking.com is of the owners property NOT Dairy Cottage as advertised.

"Breakfast NOT Included"

We stayed in Dairy Cottage for two nights, to make a return to my home village where I grew up and had family connections going back almost 100 years. The cottage is lovely and comfortable, located close to so many beautiful lanes and fields, with the awesome Oxfords Bakery just around the corner. Knowing the village so well, it was a real treat to be pampered by a stay in such a lovely cottage. The breakfast ingredients are such a nice touch. Thank you so much. We'll see you again soon.

Wonderful two nights in Dairy Cottage

Very clean, very private and tastefully furnished accommodation with a lovely veranda overlooking well kept gardens.
We appreciated the well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed our breakfast "supply"  -  tasty home made jam, lovely fresh bread from a bakery next door, eggs (presumably from unusual looking chickens running around the garden).
We certainly recommend it.

FANTASTIC stay in the Summer House

Peaceful

Very comfortable with some original beams dating back many centuries, updated with everything needed for a break in the countryside.    One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! Very convenient for visiting Sherborne Abbey, Castle, nearby Shaftesbury or any of the other nearby national trust houses and gardens.

Dairy cottage

Colin and  Annie were wonderful hosts and ensured that we had a really special stay in their charming summer house.  We had the most delicious breakfast left for us in the fridge, and enjoyed meeting their bantam hens around the garden, whose eggs we also enjoyed. The Summer House is furnished tastefully, is extremely comfortable and is a really lovely part of England to stay in. It was the nicest way to emerge from lockdown. 

Lovely oasis in beautiful part of England

Stayed for three nights in the dairy cottage with my husband in half term October 2020, we found the accommodation to be cozy but incredibly well appointed, it was peaceful and immaculate. It is bijou and rustic, but comes with a top notch bathroom, bedding, bed and towels. The self catering facilities are very good with a fully fitted kitchen. A lovely continental breakfast for our 1st morning was provided for us, which was plentiful, tasty and of a high quality. The cottage was warm and came with all the necessities of a self catering accommodation. The accommodation is located just a short drive (3 or so miles) from the lovely large village/small town of Sherborne, with many smart shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. We used it as a base to explore a little further afield such as the Jurassic coast and Abbotsbury subtropical garden, after long days out driving, walking and exploring it was a wonderful cozy retreat to return to, would not hesitate to recommend, and we will return.
