Myself and 7 others booked 4 rooms here last night. Phyllis greeted us warmly and was very helpful with good advice about getting into town early to make sure we got a hot meal as it was a busy Bank Holiday weekend .Our room was so pretty with the floral wallpaper, everything was clean and we had a hospitality tray in our room ,nice hot shower ,very comfortable bed and use of an upstairs lounge overlooking a bowling green .Its a very quiet side street so I felt happy to leave my motorbike parked right outside but there is a rear carpark where everyone else took theirs .
We all went into town and were quite late back but Phyllis was ok about that and gave us a front door key .Our breakfast was a freshly cooked full English, very nice indeed , also had fresh fruits,cereals,orange juice,plenty of tea and coffee and rounds of toast ,its such a pretty B&B in a very nice small town .

Home from home 

We stayed here for 2 nights as we visited Moffat.
The guest house is a short walk from High street where most of the shops are.
beautiful guest house with plenty of character and very attentive service.
Phil the owner was great and provided advice and stories about the town and more.
Our room was very comfortable and met our expectations in terms of cleanliness and facilities.
We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Lovely guest house with plenty of charm

A charming, low key place to stay, just a few minutes walk from Moffat centre. It’s clean, great value for money and the lady who runs it was just delightful. Im sure there are ‘swankier’ places to stay in Moffat but for value and a friendly welcome this place  would be hard to beat. Recommended!

Charming BnB

Stayed here 8th September 21, 1 night during bike tour in the area. After a very poor quality of service the previous night in Ayr I have to say our stay at Rockhill was a breath of fresh air. Phyllis was so welcoming and friendly, our room was basic but most comfortable and very quiet indeed at the rear of the premises.  It took us 5 mins to walk into Moffatt for evening meal, we went to 'The Stag' hotel and sat outside afterwards with the locals who were friendly and we had a great laugh with them.  Breakfast the next day absorbed the previous nights liquids and we checked out after a blissful nights sleep. Its not 5* but I'd definitely recommend Rockhill.

Basic but Brill

When four aging motorcyclists turn up dripping wet you never know quite what reception you will receive - all I can say is BRILLIANT! What a lovely landlady - brought out old towels to us to dry off and could not have been more welcoming. We were shown to our rooms which were spotless and very comfortable. We were advised where to go for a good evening meal and provided with anything we needed. Breakfast offered a wide choice - we all went for the full Scottish, which truly lived up to it's promise with beautifully cooked bacon, egg etc.as well as toast and marmalade. Tea and coffee flasks were filled for the day's ride ahead and we were waved off. So good was it we returned on our way back down from the north coast and were not disappointed - forever our landlady will be Mrs Moffat in our hearts.

Fantastic welcome - nothing too much trouble!

Stayed here with four friends on a recent motorcycle tour of Scotland.

Phil the hostess is very friendly and accommodating and the rooms were spacious and comfy.

The cooked breakfast was very good and Phil even filled up our flask for our onward journey.

Parking area at the back is quite small, but there seemed to plenty of space on the quiet street out front.

Recommended.

Friendly, clean, warm

My two friends and I really enjoyed our three night stay at The Rockhill Guest House in Moffat. 
Moffat being a great base to strike out from on motorbikes as the roads and scenery are something special for an adventure bike...😍🏍💨
The first delightful welcome was the beautiful display of flowers at the front of the property.
The second lovely welcome was from the owner ‘Phil’ (Phyllis), who came out to greet us as we parked our motorbikes safely out of sight around the back of the property in the private parking area.
The third delightful welcome was from Phil’s daughter and their newest member of the family 🐶Winnie😍
I had my own double bed and private bathroom on the top floor and it was spotlessly clean and delightfully quirky & spacious.
My friends shared a room on the ground floor and were also happy with the size & cleanliness of their twin room.
There was a plentiful selection of juice, cereals & fruit prior to the cooked breakfast which was delicious and filling.
Literally a few minutes walk to Moffat centre where we were spoilt for choice to eat and drink. I can recommend The Gin Bar & Brodies,... during the day you can get a delicious lunch or slab of cake & coffee and at night we had a delicious evening meal. My friends raved about the steak & I enjoyed the Sea Bass. I had a delicious Tuna Steak at Claudio’s Italian restaurant but found it a bit more expensive than Brodies. The staff at Brodies were very friendly and the atmosphere is lovely.
The B&B is great for groups as there is a good selection of single, twin & double rooms. It is a fab old building on three floors and we all thought it great value for money,... much cheaper than staying in the hotels in the centre. ‘Phil’ is a delightful landlady,.... just the right amount of chatty and friendly and accommodating,.. loved her🤗
Will definitely return 😉

Lovely Welcome, Lovely Stay💕

Room was clean and facilities OK albeit a little dated. Breakfast was a set plate. Given the choice we would have preferred more options with breakfast (e.g. fresh grapefruit instead of tinned; poached or scrambled egg instead of fried) but cooked food was tasty. Overall, pleasant but underwhelming.

Quick stopover

I booked this relatively last minute for £45 and to be fair it done the job for me. I have no complaints whatsoever.

The very nice lady who checked me in was very welcoming and even give me a few pointers on the best places for me to go for a run! Nice touch that as I’d never been to Moffat before.

The room was clean and comfortable and had everything I required or would expect. The breakfast was nice and all in all I had a very pleasant stay.

I will more than likely be in the area a few tones over the next 12 months with work and I would have no hesitations with booking a room here again.

Done the job!

The hotel is on a quiet road and is a short walk from the town.
We received a warm welcome, the room was clean and very quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows just right - neither too soft or too hard.
Breakfast was served prompt and was delicious, served in a lovely room overlooking the bowling green and fields beyond.
Would definatly return and would recommend it to anybody looking to stay in Moffat.
