Great location , friendly staff , food and drink was amazing and Just all round great place to stay

was very disappointed. Not a great welcome  from the host. tried to engage in in conversation but she wasn't interested. Room was very small. and advertised with a Seaview. But the  sea view was if you squeezed up by the wardrobe as window was in the garden.Breakfast was okay but no choice.

Excellent personal service.  I felt very comfortable sitting in the bar having a meal and a drink as a single woman.Food was excellent - freshly cooked and hot.  Breakfast was fab.

I had an over night stay. The room had a view of the beach and the place felt very homey. The full English breakfast was delicious. I would definitely stay there again.

We had a lovely stay. Had dinner here the Steak for my husband and accommodated his request for an off menu salad and I had the chilli. It was all freshly cooked and was very nice.
The breakfast was absolutely fantastic the sausages were possibly the best, perfectly poached eggs served with tomatoes, bacon and beans. This was my choice but there were other options available.
I would highly recommend this pub and the B&B

Had to wait a little for the room and the toilet seat was loose but otherwise we had a pleasant time with good service and a lovely view of the Bristol Channel Will use again if in the area

Bristol Channel experience

The room had a really good view of the sea/front. It was very clean and the people that work there are very friendly. The breakfast in the morning is also great. Overall a great week away

A really good week away

This is a hotel in a lovely position where we stayed as a small group of walking friends for the weekend. Our experience was unfortunately spoiled by the landlady, who was incredibly unpleasant and rude. Her manner at breakfast was so abrupt and unfriendly, it was hard to remember we were actually paying guests. She was also insulting when we politely and quietly queried a minor price discrepancy as we had booked through Booking.com.  
I expect she will now say that we were the ones at fault and were rude (as she has done in previous reviews!) - make up your own mind.

If you want a Fawlty Towers experience, this is for you! If not, there are other places to stay in Minehead.

Unpleasant and very rude landlady

My partner and myself came down to Minehead for a much needed break and came across the Quay Inn for Sunday lunch. He had the pork and I had the beef, both meats and sides were cooked to absolute perfection, even better washed down with some Red Devon cider! After reading a couple of the past reviews, I have to completely disagree, Collete was very welcoming. Not only did she make room for a late Sunday lunch booking, she was also accomadating when I explained that I have a couple of food allergies and I felt very reassured (I have had a couple of bad experiences in the past) and was very grateful. We also popped in yesterday for a couple of drinks and enjoyed sitting in the sun in the pub garden for the better halfs birthday - perfect! Extra special mention to Danny behind the bar, truly a lovely and very chilled man. Thank you both for the experience, we will absolutely be back and recommend you to our lot back home and send them your way :) All the best! 

Cracking pub!

My parents have just left your lovely pub. 
They cannot thank you all enough for such a wonderful 9 nights.
From checking in nothing was too much trouble. Their cases were taken up to the room. 
The room was spotless and cleaned daily. The sea view super. 
Breakfasts were plentiful and could be mixed and matched as required. Cereals and toast etc were also available daily. 
My mum and dad want to say a special thank you to Sarah who was wonderful. 
Also a thank you to the owner Collette. 
Would my parents stay again? 
Absolutely! 
The Quay is friendly, clean , welcoming and extremely good value . 
5* accommodation and service . 
The Quay Inn is highly recommended and a great place to stay.
