Brilliant stay, Helen and Shaun were excellent hosts. Studio with a private garden proved excellent for the dog with plenty of room for us all. Excellent breakfast choice every morning, with Shaun the king of poached eggs, and a selection of jams and marmalade’s sold by the tearoom. Helen and Shaun are a wealth of local knowledge with great dog walks or pubs to eat at. The garden is nice and secure so the dog can just come and go with no fear of being able to get out.

An amazing few days in Porlock-lovely cabin which was spotless and great finishing touches-as we had our dog Zac with us we benefited from the pretty garden-there was also a patio area with table and chairs-great for relaxing outdoors! Helen and Shaun couldn’t have made us more welcome and were extremely helpful in recommending places to visit and eat-they definitely went the extra mile and even cooked up some scrambled egg for Zac’s breakfast when he was reluctant to eat what we’d given him-would definitely recommend

I loved my stay here, it was a shame I was only staying one night, I would have loved to have stayed longer. Lovely hosts, lovely setting. Easy to park, I found it easy to find. Oh and it was soooo quiet. Perfect :) I just wish I could have stayed for breakfast, But I had to get on the road early. Next time, definitely

We had a delightful nights stay at High Orchard. We found it easily although it is out in the middle of absolutely stunning countryside with views to die for. Margaret and John were perfect hosts, friendly and nothing too much trouble. We felt right at home.
Our room was pretty and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, very tasty especially the Full Cornish. I hate to rate this as a budget b&b - more like a great b&b for excellent value.
We can recommend this B&B highly enough, fantastic place to stay.

I cannot rate this place high enough - we stayed for 6 nights - we had the En-Suite room - Very clean and tidy room - the bed was really comfy and the room warm - Tea & coffee - Kettle and proper cups ( Not disposable ones )  
BREAKFAST - Sausage -eggs( 2 ) bacon - mushrooms- and hot - toast - Real coffee - juice  - cereal - Grapefruit 
 Private parking --- Our Hosts Margaret & John could not do enough for us and made our stay  a memorable one - should anybody be in that area and looking for an Excellent B & B  I would Most Highly Recommend High Orchard

Wow. This place was beautiful and there was cake! I Had the pleasure of staying in this very well presented b&b for 1 night. It felt homely the minute I stepped in the door. with a very warm welcome from the lovely owners who made me hot drink on arrival. Because I had to get up early I did miss breakfast but I'm sure it would've been one of them pat your belly I'm stuffed kind of breakfasts. The room was very big and tidy and the bathroom super fresh and clean. Comfy bed. Great value. A true hidden gem and highly recommended for those looking for great views, no busy roads, walks and love the smell fresh air.    

My first trip to the UK and this was one of the first places we stayed.  Upon entering we were greeting with a charming country living room with a nice fire going in the fireplace. Tea and Victorian sponge cake were offered (delicious) and we were shown to our room.  The room was just perfect.  It was clean and looked to be newly remodeled.  Very roomy with a gorgeous view of sprawling green pastures and beautiful trees.  Breakfast each morning was full English and made to order.  Really, I cannot say enough about how absolutely perfect this place is.  If you want authentic English countryside and a stay in a real country cottage, you need to book a room here.

Great experience, couldn't do enough for us. Comfortable rooms which were well laid out, with good beds. Wonderful location with great views and plenty of wildlife and a relaxing atmosphere. Brilliant breakfast with homemade sausages and succulent fresh eggs.

My Girlfriend From USA was with me to see the famous Bridgwater Carnival and I chose this pleasant B+B to stop at for a couple of days. I am so glad I did. Its tucked away around the typical country lanes of the area and commands a lovely view from the bedroom windows. We both commented on the warm,cosy atmosphere and very friendly hospitality. Our room was spacious clean and a joy to return to after a day out on Exmoor. Bed was very comfortable and warm too. Breakfast was superb and when we first arrived we were given a cup of tea and a piece of gorgeous home made Victoria sponge all in front of a roaring warm fire. I cant praise this place enough and will definately be going back again soon. Highly recommended!
