Stunning location, beautiful lodges, comfy big bed. Great hot tub. Friendly hosts. This review would have been a 5* but the cleanliness could be a bit better. The bathroom looked clean apart from the toilet that had hair and urine slashes under the 'seat' someone else's rubbish under the sofa and one of the window sills quite thick in dust.  Apart from that everything was perfect. The town of Gilphead was very quiet and not everything was open. The co-op was a god send for food. 

Stunning location.

We recently stayed at the pine marten cabin and it was lovely 🥰

The cabin has an outdoor hot tub and a table and chairs next to it. A lounge area with TV and Netflix. A kitchen with most items provided. Only a small amount of olive oil but managed to make it stretch. The bed was lovely and cosy and the bathroom with shower was great. 

And some dressing gowns or House coats were provided also

Pine Marten cabin was great

Wonderful lodges . Very private in a beautiful location. Woodcock Lodge sleeps 2 people. It is very comfortable . It has a hot tub and Finnish barbecue hut .
There is a sitting room area with TV , a very well equipped kitchen and a bedroom with en suite bath and shower. There are excellent restaurants nearby and lots of interesting places to visit.
Good wifi. Lots of luxury touches such as sheepskin rugs, high quality bed linen, robes , Highland Soap company toiletries.  Highly recommended

Luxury lodge in a beautiful, tranquil setting

Lovely quaint remote hideaway. 
Ideal for those looking to really get away, but be prepared for self catering as this is accommodation is not within walking distance of any shops or restaurants. 
We stayed in the Woodcock Lodge and the separate BBQ hut was perfect for getting cosy & cooking dinner after a days exploring. After dinner, its just a quick dash over the patio into the Hot Tub, where you can relax under the stars and gaze over the valley, the views are exceptional! 
The lodge comes fully equipped with everything you'd need, fully fitted kitchen inc dishwasher & Nespresso coffee machine. Lovely wood burner for cosying up on the sofa watching tele looking out of the large windows to the horizons beyond for those nights when the Scottish weather isn't so friendly.
The one we stayed in, had a lovely copper bath, which was very relaxing to soak in.
The lodges are within a short drive of Lochgilphead where there are a couple of shops & Restaurants should you need.
Highly recommend taking a drive to the towns of Invarary & Oban, both are less than an hour away.
There are some lovely forestry commission walks & mountain bike trails nearby.
The lodge was also Dog Friendly & our little pooches thoroughly enjoyed themselves, especially being able to get so close to the BBQ in case of any dropped sausages.
Tall people be warned, some of the doorways are quite low, so mind your head.

Remote Hideaway

Myself and partner booked Torrnaleich Cottage for a quiet weekend break. It was a fab weekend. The owners Ross and Diana were very welcoming. The cottage had a nice cosy feeling to it. Good shower, comfy bed,and a cosy real fire. The walks on the estate were great though I was glad of my walking boots, I wouldn't like to have walked in wellies. We had dogs with us, they enjoyed the walks. We really enjoyed the BBQ hut, great experience if you like BBQs. We came home and booked for another weekend. Definitely recommend.

Lovely weekend

We had a great 3 night at Woodcock lodge
Absolutely loved the bbq hut so cosy fantastic idea even when it’s raining you feel outside.
The pizza oven is a must try also !
The hot tub fantastic positions to relax and take in the views over the glen and hills.
We also took the walk to the loch into the woods and up the hill great walk.
Our little dog loved every minute of her holiday also hope to return next year x 

Great quiet retreat 

We spent a wonderful two nights here. The only negative to our trip was that we weren't here for longer. 
We stayed in the Woodcock Lodge, and couldn't have wished for a more romantic and perfect setting for the start of our first Scotland trip. 
Our host was very friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed.
The lodge was perfect, and the bed was genuinely the most comfortable I have ever slept on! We loved the hot-tub, even in the Scottish rain!
The area is stunning - my only tip is to ensure you follow Ross's advice and DO NOT PUT THE POSTCODE INTO YOUR SAT NAV!!! (at least not unless you drive a 4x4 and a sense of adventure!)

Birthday treat

We have just returned from a family short break at the fabulous Kirnan estate. We stayed in Kirnan beg Lodge and we were not disappointed. The video and pictures of this amazing lodge do not do it justice. It is fab. Ross and Diana have got it 100% spot in. They have everything you need, from lovely vibrant coloured towels, the amazing local shampoo and conditioners, fly and wasp spray for that time of year, they just have thought of everything. They were so welcoming to us, as were muck and eigg they're dogs. They're are also lots of other animals who don't mind a visit. The only down side was the rain and midges but a good pair of wellies, rain jackets and some midgy spray and your good to go. Thank you again and hopefully we will see you again next year. Kirnan beg lodge

Arrived and eventually found the kind gardener who located the owner. Showed us to the wildcat Lodge. The lodge was quirky and we were all looking forward to our stay. Once settled in we found the cleanliness not to be of the standard we expected especially after being closed for so long!. Rug very dirty and under beds very dusty with crumbs, sweet wrappers above the double bed where the bunk lats are. Top bunks too small for our 12 and 15 year old so had to take mattress and sleep on floor. Yale lock broken so locked us out and no spare in the box. Resulted in long walk in swimming costume to kind lady who provided key and lift back. The bbq had no self light pack, and no firelighters so had to go to house to ask for them as they were listed as provided on signs.owner did apologise and provide them. All plates etc in bbq hut dirty so had to wash. Had what I presume to be a mouse for last 3 days that ate all the fruit in bowl, mouse poo all over the living room and our dogs belongings. Close away EVERYTHING or it may be eaten! Expected more for over 1.5k for a week! No clean mid week and ensure you take spare loo rolls!

Little disappointing and over priced

We stayed at the Wildcat Lodge for my husband’s birthday and what a fabulous place it turned out to be! A lovely spacious lodge with a hot tub, jacuzzi, a BBQ hut and fantastic facilities in a scenic setting. Ross and Diana are wonderful hosts and have thought of every detail to make sure our stay was very special and memorable. The breakfast pack consisting of Ross’s home made sausages and bread and local goodies was a real treat. Thank you, Ross and Diana!!!
