Went to the cafe for lunch with some friends. Lovely place to visit with a great choice of menu and staff very helpful and friendly - in particular Kim, who was very personable and welcoming. Will definitely come back again!

A very pleasant lunch!

Stayed for 1 night in a family room. The room was spacious and clean. Toiletries, Kettle with tea coffee and biscuits provided. Also a hair dryer. Reasonably priced as well. Would stay there again when in the area.

Comfortable Family Room

Reception staff very friendly when booking in. Lodge was nice with private hot tub. Boathouse cafe/bar nice staff although the smell in the air when sitting out was repugnant. Could do with bushes being cut back as no view of marina. Indian restaurant on site served lovely food but service was very poor and staff rude considering we was the only 4 in the whole restaurant dining in. Felt like intruders rather than guests.

Birthday celebration

We stayed one night in the hotel, it was comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly, the cafe at the marina was excellent for a drink in the evening and a nice breakfast. The on site Indian restaurant was excellent.

Excellent place for a short stay

Terrible customer service I’m registered disabled and vulnerable received parking ticket reception did NOT ask me to register my car they are not willing to even try and call the company to help me instead giving me excuse Iv been in past and should know better even after explaining them unfortunately I suffer severe mental health and anxiety and these things is something I can’t remember to do I should have been made aware at time of check in extremely disappointing and what would have made a lovley stay is now a massive disappointment

MASSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT

Just popped to the cafe after a walk around & a reminisce (our wedding venue) and was very pleasantly surprised.  Good choice of food at an exceptional price, all served with a smile - so it didnt even matter that the toastie was wrong - it was just as good!!

Lovely little cafe

Highly recommend this place we stayed in one of the lodges (number 39) very clean , new & cosy the hot tub was perfect there was me my partner & 2 other couples & it was a 3 bedroom, one was an en-suite,  we were very happy with our stay here we stayed for 2 nights we brought our own bbq & made cocktails I can’t comment on pubs or anywhere else as we stayed in the lodge the whole time, shower was great , big fridge freezer for food & plenty of cupboard space it had a dining table inside & a table& chairs outside lucky we had lovely weather , would definitely book here again the reception staff were also very friendly upon arrival.

Very cosy

We often stay at @Roydonmarinavillage, but on our last stay at @Roydonmarinavillage we asked for a late check out as I was working the morning of check out, everything was fine when I left, but 1 hour later I received a call from my wife in floods of tears and hysterical saying that a member of staff from @Roydonmarinavillage had come into the lodge where she was naked and made advances towards her, and despite her telling the man from @Roydonmarinavillage that she was naked several times the staff member from @Roydonmarinavillage kept approaching her saying "are you really naked" and moving towards her, so much so she feared that he was going to take it further. She then ran into the bathroom and locked the door. She then telephoned myself and told me so had to leave work to return to her, she also telephoned the reception at @Roydonmarinavillage to say what had gone on and the receptionist said that no member of staff at @Roydonmarinavillage was allowed to enter the lodge at any time ! trying to calm my life down the receptionist came to the @Roydonmarinalodge and told the member of staff to go away and said member then proceeded to call my wife a F**king stupid cow and loiter around the front of the lodge looking through the window.
My wife in so much shock than grabbed the nearest clothes and left before I got back, not happy with the situation I confronted the receptionist at @Roydonmarinavillage and told her what had gone on and asked for the member of staffs name in order I may Amy a formal complaint to head office @Lakelandleisure, only to be told that she didn't know the man ? in short we contacted the police who are investigating the member of staff from @Roydonmarinavillage.
The management from both @Roydonmarinavillage and @Lakelandleisure have swept this under the carpet and have no compensation by way of a refund for the stay or the stress it has caused my scared wife.
Feel that @Roydonmarinavillage and @Lakelandleisure are just as guilty as the member of staff from @RoydonMarinavillage who sexually assaulted my wife.
If you are looking to stay at @Roydonmarinavillage I would definitely not leave any females alone as this man is obviously not one to be trusted and as far as the management at @Roydonmarinavillage and @lakelandleisure are concerned I would NEVER TRUST OR STAY AT ANY OF YOUR ACCOMMODATION EVER AGAIN !!!

Staff sexually assaulted my wife

Travelled from Northern Ireland to visit family who live locally. Wheelchair user in party and contacted company prior to arrival to see if a ramp was a possibility unfortunately it wasn't but we were able to manage the steps for our stay. Spacious lodge with 3 good size bedrooms, the open plan living/dining/kitchen is great, allowing everyone to interact in comfort. The hot tub was an added bonus as we hadn't originally booked a hot tub.  

We did visit the boathouse for a drink, its grand if you want a quiet drink, may be more lively at night. 

The WIFI connection wasn't great during the day but worked a lot better after 10pm. 

I would recommend these lodges to family and friends, a great wee home from home place to say.

3 bed lodge rental - June 2022

Got a parking fine of £100 from their entry/exit cameras despite staying for 3 days, booking in my car on their system and parking in the bay next the lodge we rented. No response from management despite repeated emails. Avoid at all costs. 

Also the boats on the ‘marina’ look like they’re about to sink.
