I couldn't find anywhere to stay for a last minute spontaneous trip to South Wales. I ended up being point to the Coach and Horses by a local. The room was absolutely fine: clean and well maintained. The bathroom was large and spotless. It's a bargain and if course you're above a pub full of welcoming locals.

Great accommodation

Stayed here while attending the Steelhouse Festival and found everyone very friendly.  
The rooms are relatively basic but clean and comfy and the separate shower room was very good. 
Great value and worth a try in my opinion.  

Friendly & great value. 

It's a pub, the clue is in the name.  It offers a B&B upstairs which is nice and clean.  Not normally a fan of shared bathrooms, but this one is particularly nice, clean and spacious.  (Worth stopping here for the bathroom alone!)  Landlady very warm and welcoming.  Altogether, a lovely stopover. Thank you!

A lovely stopover

Been here twice in the last month. 1st was a snow day which was unexpected but turned out to be the best day ever... Then again for the Rugby... great atmosphere. Amanda and staff  make everyone feel welcome. She put on delicious food on both snow day and for rugby free of charge. Cant fault this place. Highly recomend. 

Brilliant Day

The room is above a pub.  The room was clean and tidy.  The staff were friendly.
I could not get the heating or wifi to work.  The shared bathroom was clean.  The breakfast was D.I.Y toast, cereal with tea or coffee.  It was ok for one night.  I was on my own in the morning until staff arrived at 9am.  Free parking was in the street or on rough land next to the building.

Cheap and Cheerful

Stayed a couple of nights - "a taste of the real Wales" Our room and shared bathroom were clean and comfortable. The publican and bar guests were friendly and they were the highlight of our stay! A lot of history in the town as well. Not to far to drive to Brecon Beacons and Pen-Y-Fan if you are into walking.

"We were made very welcome"

Stayed for 4 nights last September (2016), the hosts were very friendly and helpful, as we're the locals in the bar.
Breakfast was 'continental' plentiful, help yourself from a range of cereals, tea coffe etc left on the bar.
Bathroom was very clean although I would prefer en suite next time. Hopefully will return this September if en suite is available. Parking is no problem on an untarmaced area right outside. I had no problems at all. Enjoyed my short stay.
