I came here with my partner as I'm currently looking to buy a house and I found our room lovely. Breakfast cereal was ready on the table, a fridge full of food, like milk, ham, rolls, butter and yoghurt, orange juice too. The bed was comfortable, there was a tv to watch films or such. Plenty of room to move around in the room.
The only gripe I have is the bathroom. It was too cramped. The toilet and the sink were too close together making things hard to move around. The shower, however, was lovely.
Don't listen to other reviews especially regarding money going missing. I had a little money put aside and I knew exactly how much I had and guess what? No one and I do mean no one stole my money at all. So I think that other reviewer is talking out of his bum. 
Would I recommend others going to Dove Court Mini Lodge?  Yes, I would. The man who runs this place was very friendly and can I say, his two dogs are beautiful. Overall, I would come back as I felt very relaxed here.

As a regular traveller to the Bristol area, I have made Dove Court Mini Lodge my home away from home.  The staff are extremely friendly and the room is warm, cozy and cheerful.  I've got a fridge, TV and wifi (which is fast enough for me to stream films).  The rooms have ensuite bathrooms.  The continental breakfast consists of the kind of stuff I eat for breakfast at home and because the items are kept in the room, you can have a midnight snack if you want.  In my view you can't beat the value for the price paid.

Stayed here for one night with a friend, we had the twin room.

We were doing John O'Groat's to lands end  by bicycle and were extremely satisfied with the facilities.

Admittedly were we quite surprised to see a full continental breakfast set up in our rooms upon arrival but later realised this was the most amazing thing we have bother ever come across. I mean come on what more could you possibly want in life!!

Top marks for the guy running the joint, he was proper boss!

I was in a single room at the top of the house. Very clean but dated. Continental breakfast was left in the room, there’s a fridge with milk, yogurt, cheese, flapjack, ham, juice and a roll. Cereals, tea coffee and sugar supplied. Comfortable bed. I stayed two nights and room serviced when I was out. I was at the back of the property so away from any noise from the main road. Good position for getting into Bristol. Small car park, maybe 4 cars. Hungry Horse pub opposite.

The bedding and towels were very clean and crisp. The breakfast e.g cereal juice and yoghurt were adequate the apple was bruised. Overall the hotel outside needed a brush up and rubbish put into a bin out of sight and dead flowers in the plant pots. There was a plant pot outside the main door which was half full of cigarette ends and it didn’t leave a good first impression.The toilet sink and shower were within a very close proximity and hardly any room to turn. The shower and toilet area were in dire need of a complete overhaul. Despite all this we slept well the room was lovely warm and clean. Free  Not bad value for the money.

My Home Away From Home

Literally amazing!!!

Clean and warm but needs attention to detail.

My wife and I travel a lot on mini breaks, this time we were going to Cornwall to a friends wedding, we have stayed in many budget B&B's and to be fair, some are better value than others,and, you take your chance, but we have never until this one, stayed in one that we would not return to. We booked this one, as we were traveling to Cornwall and wanted to break the trip from Prestatyn in North Wales, we booked to stay here on the way down, on friday 18th August 2017, then continue onwards the next day, we had also booked it for our return trip, but decided whilst here to go on line and book into a Premier in instead.  The  Chap who booked us in was friendly enough and also helpfull in that he advised us, having searched on his phone, as to how long it should take us to complete our trip down the next day...

The only two items that relate to a modern day world are the mini fridge and 14" wall mounted TV which is too small to watch from the bed, The mini fridge has a tiny freezer box and inside it, sittng on a plate was something that had been sitting there for quite some time un noticed by the cleaner, not sure what it was so just left it in there.. The breakfast well, that consists of a pint of milk and two yogurts, a banana a cerial bar and some cereals already in the room, and tea and coffee from the hospitality tray.

Now to be fair, I would NEVER attempt to be blatantly rude just for the sake of it, I am a chef with over thirty years in the hospitality and catering trade, and I realise how difficult it can be to run and maintain a guest house or B&B in todays market, so on a positive note I will say that the place is clean, and the fact that we only paid £60.00 for the night does carry some reflection in my revue, However this place is not for us and we will not be staying again .. If I was a single guy working away from home and needing cheep digs then this would be ok, the room was clean as were the towels and the bathroom was ok .. There is also free WiFi but it is slower than 1980's dial up.

The one good thing I can say about this place is that it's clean... and that's where the positives end. For £60 a night per room (booked well in advance!) I expect more. The rooms are ancient with a weird fusty smell. The "continental breakfast" is a joke, few variety packs of cereal and a spotty old banana with cheap orange juice from concentrate. I booked two rooms, one for me and my partner and one for my parents... the double bed in our room was rock solid, so uncomfortable that my boyfriend who normally sleeps like a log woke up 8 times during the night, whereas my parents bed was the opposite, so soft that you sunk right through to the bed frame every time you laid on it. The "en suite" bathrooms are the strangest thing I've ever seen, it was sort of like a caravan bathroom transplanted into a hotel?? Weird plastic fittings and the room was so small my dad and partner couldn't sit on the toilet and close the door at the same time. The water pressure in the shower was so pathetic I could barely get my hair wet. Flush on the toilet had to be pressed repeatedly about five or six times before it flushed loo roll away. Just do yourself a favour and book a premier inn or a better hotel for a bit extra... I'd have had a better nights sleep in a tent to be honest
