Visited today haven't been for a few months so glad we did Wayne told us he was leaving very sad he has always made us feel very welcome he will definitely be a miss. Thanks Wayne for always making us welcome   hopefully might see you in The Mallard 1 day.

Came on Monday Nathan recognised us straight away came back Friday Wayne hadn't seen us for a year and knew who we were. Brilliant service and staff would highly recommend  we will certainly be back in future with friends and family and maybe the bridge could come and see me at The Mallard sometime.

Stayed for 3 nights and couldnt have found a better place, all the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was really nice and set us up for the day, had a meal in the pub 1 night and can honestly say its blew us away how good quality the food was. Full marks to the chef first time ive stayed somewhere and they can do a decent poached egg.

Fabulous pub that does great food and has rooms too! Just below the train station in Durham City Centre. Great friendly staff offering fabulous Sunday Dinners with a smile. So impressed by this place. Looks like they do fabulous food all week too, not just a Sunday. 
Perfect pint of Guinness with lots of other drinks available too. They just seem to care about their customers and make you feel at home with ease. Friendly environment and busy! Great atmosphere with a great mix of people who obviously know about this hidden gem, right in the City Centre. 
Can't wait to return and sample more of the atmosphere, great food and drinks. I totally recommend you give it a go if you are looking for somewhere to try.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the room was very clean. We had both breakfast and dinner, they were REALLY good. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Durham—we will definitely be staying here again our next time in town.

The Bridge hotel, bottom of train station bank , my fav back to London pub, a Great pub, food and staff , best chips and gravy I’ve ever had in the NE , , and Nathan a cracking barman, thank you mate  ,  lovely final reminder of northeast hospitality at its Cannie best , before train back to the smoke , cheers Keith

Our second year at the Bridge Hotel for a truly fantastic Christmas Day lunch . 
The quality of the food was exceptional & was equally matched with exceptional service . 
The custom made Christmas decorations have created a unique, welcoming , Christmas ambience . 
Wayne , the Landlord & his team are faultless & the whole experience I believe is unbeatable, hearty congratulations to Wayne & his team for delivering excellence at every level .

Sensational Christmas Day Lunch. Fabulous atmosphere & exceptional service .

A very friendly and welcoming place. A great location at the bottom of the hill from the train station. Ideal for catching the free shuttle bus to the university open day. The room was clean, comfortable and functional. It would have been nice to have been provided with shower gel as well as shampoo and conditioner. We had room 8, a twin room at the back of the property, that was quiet and had a view of the cathedral and viaduct arches. You pre-order breakfast the night before stating what time you would like it. Note breakfast is served from 8.30am on the weekend. A great place to stay for a quick visit.

Amazing service and very high quality home cooked food.  Starters were really good portion sizes I could have had mine for a main. The mains were amazing. Had to take what I left home as I was getting quite full. Portions sizes are really good. I will be visiting again and have already recommended the food to others.

Third time we have stayed at The Bridge Hotel and each time has been excellent. Bright clean rooms in a very quiet area of Durham, always guaranteed a great night's sleep. We ate in the restaurant before heading out to see The Who and the food was amazing, as was the service despite being incredibly busy. Breakfast was included in the price and it was quite possibly the best cooked breakfast I have ever had in a hotel - top quality produce and cooked to perfection. The staff were so attentive and friendly, especially Nathan who checked us in and looked after us superbly. I can't recommend The Bridge highly enough and we looking forward to staying with you again when we next visit Durham.

Excellent hotel!

Well located near to the station and city centre.  Lovely comfortable room, tea and coffee making facilities,tv and well laid out bathroom with toiletries.  Although the rooms are above the bar area they are lovely and quiet with no noise coming through from the ground floor.  Excellent breakfast included in room price and staff very helpful and welcoming.

The Bridge Hotel is ideally situated, being located close to the city's railway station. In under 5 minutes you can reach the city centre and main bus stops. The staff were welcoming and helpful and our room was comfortable and quiet. The food was excellent, home cooked fayre and a very decent cooked breakfast was included in the room price.

Great staff, location and food

What a lovely site manager also staff.The room is very basic but it's a very old building. I did want to wash my hair on the morning but couldn't find an hairdryer but if I was desperate I'm thinking I would of been given one if I asked, the bed was comfortable and clean bedding, bathroom shower very good but needed the mouldy silicone sorting out. We was also left with 2 table top heaters as the radiator didn't come on but we was happy with this.We ate here in the evening & the food was amazing.Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and excellent quality. Would I stay here again? YES.The town centre is literally on your doorstep. Thankyou Bridge Hotel
