Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a work trip. Upon arrival was greeted by the very friendly owner and shown to my room (the twin room)  

The room- clean,  very presentable and spacious with large bathroom and good shower facilities 

Views - from the twin room you can see over the fields to the hills in the distance which was brilliant. 

Breakfast- well!! What an incredible selection of food for such a small place. Guests can choose from cereal , fruit , cooked breakfasts,  toasts with plenty of jam options,  yoghurt etc. I honestly felt bad not being able to eat more of it!!! 

Extras- a nice touch with homemade shortbread and cornflake nests provided upon arrival and each day I was there. 

Overall a very pleasant and welcoming b and b - would highly recommend and should I return to this area for work or personal pleasure I will be sure to use this b and b again. 

Perfect all round! 

We had to come back early from a holiday in North East Scotland and booked othis accommodation last minute. It was the nicest b and b we have ever stayed at.
The attention to detail was fantastic. A great choice of breakfast. The lady of the house was very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you.
I wasn't feeling just 100 percent but I wouldn't hesitate to return to enjoy the lovely atmosphere and area. Fantastic sunset over the Ochil Hills. Thank you so much for making our stay so comfortable. 

Wonderful b and b

I found this little gem of a place on my visit to sterling, I received a very warm welcome into a lovely cosy quiet clean B&B it truly is a first class place to stay if you venture to Scotland. Balnacraig is in a lovely village near Stirling it has many attractions mainly the William Wallace monument the castle and many more to mention it’s also easy access to Glasgow and Edinburgh 

A gem near dunfermline

My partner and I were heading to the log cabins on Wednesday 28th of February 2018 when the red alert (weather warning) happened. We were stuck on the m80 for 7 hours and at 4.30am we got to the town of Saline. We could not get up the hill to continue our journey to the log cabins and at 5am we gave up trying to move the car and chapped the guest house door for help, they opened the door just wakened from their bed and let us in with open arms, made sure we were ok put on the fire and made sure we were ok and made us something to eat in the morning, I can’t thank them enough for everything they done for us and appreciate everything. The house is beautiful, big rooms & the nicest people I have ever met. If it wasn’t for them we would have been sleeping in the car frozen. I highly recommend this guest house if you are ever in Fife! 

Highly recommend 

I stayed for two nights whilst in the area for a family funeral. The rooms were large and very comfortable with everything you would need, breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and the views were amazing. Pat was very friendly and welcoming and helped with directions etc. I would be very happy staying here again.

Friendly and welcoming

I stayed for one night on a cycling tour, my bike was stored safely. I'm vegetarian and breakfast was great. Fruit and porridge (very nice) and cooked breakfast set me up for a day's riding.
Bedroom and bathroom very clean and comfortable and Pat was very welcoming. I would have no hesitation in staying here again.
One thing worth bearing in mind if you're travelling on foot (or bike!) is that there aren't any nearby places to eat out in the evening (I think it's about 3 miles to the nearest one)

Peaceful and comfortable, bike and veggie friendly

I've stayed here before with baby but this time with husband too. Great service and a fantastic clean room with a great view. TV in room and home-cooked breakfast including baby cot and high chair. Really enjoyed staying here and it's v close to my family so that's a great benefit too.
