This motel was so much more than expected. It had everything you could need for a stay. The little details for me the candle In the room and the milk in the fridge. The beds are so comfy, comfier than the big chained hotels! I absolutely loved the quirks of this and the vintage interior (please don’t change that) it makes it feel so unique. The staff at this motel was brilliant we could tell their hearts are in it. Thank you for a lovely stay and hope each person who stays feels the same as we did. Highly recommend this and the prices are insane! Let’s keep these lovely places going.

Trip Away

Just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel with our dog. Hotel was perfect for our stay. Bed linens and towels were spotless as was our room. Breakfast items on table in hallway were more than adequate, as was the items in room fridge. Much more than we expected. Price for dog was per stay and not per night. Italian restaurant next door was lovely as was food and service. The hosts were very friendly. Will certainly stay here again.

Brilliant stay,the welcome was so warm and shown to my room(not your normal there’s your key bye)fridge in the room with bottled water,fresh milk,yoghurts,juice and butter,there was fruit bowls,cereal and fresh bread laid out,the room was spacious and the bed and pillows were the comfiest I’ve ever had at a hotel,I’ll be staying again.

Very clean, very comfortable beds, very helpful staff. Breakfast was help yourself, plenty of choice. Lovely Italian restaurant on site. Highly recommend, will definitely stay again if I’m in the area

Hunters lodge motel

Comfy bed, clean spacious room, good breakfast options, nice location close to town centre also 5 min drive away from a lake. Lovely owners, large car park. Dog friendly, fresh towels in the room along with a fridge & kettle with tea/coffee/sugars. Would recommend.

I stayed here for one night and found the motel to be very clean and tidy the room I was in was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. 
There is an Italian restaurant attached to the motel which is most helpful, also the food was great. 
I would stay here again without doubt.

A great place to stay

We have just returned after a two night, post lockdown, stay at the Hunters Lodge.   From booking on the phone to arriving we felt like family.   Even our little Dog Harry was made to feel so welcome, which is so refreshing, as sometimes you feel like an alien when you arrive at a hotel with a pet.   
The Italian restaurant attached  to the hotel was great with lovely staff and a great menu.   
You can order take away food for your hotel room too.   

Due to COVID-19 they decided to stock the room with breakfast items so you could help yourself.    They thought of everything.  Fresh bread, jams marmalade, butter. Fruit juice and cereal and fresh milk all in the room for you.   

We can not wait to return.   Thank you for making out Staycation just perfect.  

FANTASTIC PLACE

We had a fabulously comfortable night at Hunters Lodge.  For the price, it was just perfect.  We both enjoyed the continental breakfast.  No faults whatsoever.  The proprietors were extremely friendly and accommodating, not like some of the B&B owners we have come across in the past.  If we're ever in Chorley again, we will book this place.  The Da Vinci Restaurant nearby is exquisite!

First visit. Not the last!

no complaints at all.  It was a half way stop after 7 hours of driving from Scotland and it was perfect for that.
We were met promptly on arrival, friendly check in, and shown to our room and shown the breakfast bits.
We had an ideal room, as we had our puppy with us, and was close to the exit door to let him out for toilets. we could see our car from our room too. plenty of dog poo bags supplied but had to hunt around for a bin, found it eventually. Big car park. 
Very nice Italian restaurant next door which we made use of , excellent meal.
Our room was very, bright and  floral, and dated but it was clean and very comfortable bed, we did chuckle that it reminded us of 'Crossroads' from the 70's. the Bathroom suite was Apricot,  never seen anything like it before, however it was fully functional and did the job at a very reasonable price, so all in all, it was great for a cheap clean pitstop.
Breakfast supplies are help yourself at reception, toast, and cereals.
Orange juice and water in your fridge with milk. All very much well thought out.
Basic but clean. Quirky.

Good pit stop

This is a clean & comfortable budget hotel in a convenient location near the M6. It would benefit from an update & refurbishment, especially the bathroom shower. Breakfast is a help yourself job to eat in the room, but adequate. The Italian restaurant next door (reviewed separately) is a bonus.
