Arrived on 22nd December 2023 after travelling all night was created by assistant manager who l found went out of his way to help me was very helpful we where spending our first Christmas at premier inn we had booked in for a week l found the hotel spotless everywhere was clean l need to change room next day and had a very helpful on duty assistant manger she went out way to find us a  room l found all the staff really helpful and friendly l had breakfast some mornings plenty of it my room was a lovely comfy room was a premier one bed was so comfortable l have been able to write a review due to illness but l highly recommended staying there thank you all to the hard working staff you are all diamond gems l hopefully will be back for Christmas you go out of hotel and find plenty of shops and pubs plenty of places to eat plenty of Welsh history to explore

Christmas stay

Cardiff was our choice of destination. Lots available to see and do. Used Buses and Trains for going out and about. Transport staff very helpful wherever we went. Hotel staff always polite and asking if you needed any help or advice. In restaurant Tom was very attentive and made you feel welcome

January Birthday trip

Nothing special about here, location is good for city centre, loads of rubbish outside, empty bear can etc. Rooms where clean but cold.
Breakfast was as expected but even meal was a but of a ket down steak was full of fat not a good cut! 

Just another hotel

Great atmosphere, staff helpful and lots of knowledge about the area. Making sure everyone had everything that they needed. Staff could not do enough to help with keeping luggage safe til our rooms were ready 

Fantastic

Well I’ve read the reviews and have to say I do wonder if some people might have stayed somewhere else. This review is for Queen Street and we had a lovely stay. Booked a family room, and it was lovely, huge double bed, soft and fluffy pillows, bed had a soft topper in the mattress. Lovely sleep. Yes there is a bit of noise from upstairs but nothing that bothered me, yes the toilet flush is loud but again it didn’t both us, lovely hot water from a new over head shower, also had a bath. A few small grips, but these things didn’t really bother us - no light bulb in one of the lamps (we didn’t use that lamp, but would in future have asked to have it sorted) and there was a little damp around the window seal. But saying this, I have stayed in 5 star hotels for three times the cost and had issues, not to mention smaller rooms!! this was lovely and for the money well it was well worth every penny!  the staff were fantastic! so kind and friendly and really helpful. well done to all the lovely staff working a Sunday who smiled and helped us. That made the stay even better. We also LOVED breakfast and the chef, well she was amazing. Helpful. Kind. She was so lovely. Food was yummy. Service at this hotel is really good. I am very happy and will stay again. I’m not sure what people didn’t like - maybe we were just lucky .

Family stay

I came into the hotel on 7th march to check in, I went straight to the self check in machine but I didn’t understand how to use it , Tom on reception noticed I was getting a little frustrated and came over to help me but the machine was playing up so he took me to the reception computer to check me in instead. Tom also noticed that the system had booked me into a single room when it was supposed to be a double room so he changed it straight away he was ever so helpful. He has great customer service and made sure I would have a great stay at the hotel.

Went to see a gig, Yungblud, this hotel was perfect location, just under a 5 minute walk from the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff. Was a bit confused with checking in but a staff member helped me with no problem, we, me and my friend, came back late from the gig, chilled in the main area, I had a cocktail and my friend ordered Uber Eats which was no problem to the staff, at that time it was nice and peaceful and we appreciated the staff working through the night. The beds are REALLY comfortable, so much better than my bed at home! Overall, I'll rate this trip a 10/10

Will be back again

I really enjoyed everything about this hotel, newly refurbished, and great staff and food. Nice views from the upper floors, well-appointed restaurant and very friendly and helpful staff, a really positive experience, can't wait to go back.

Great hotel in a great location

This is the best Premier Inn I have ever stayed in. I still cannot believe it is a premier inn - I believe it has recently been refurbished. The décor is current, quirky and fun. The staff at the reception were so polite and helpful, especially Ashley who is a credit to the establishment. The room we stayed in was absolutely huge! The tv in the room was massive, there wasn't a bath but the walk in shower was amazing. The room was faultless and I just wish we had stayed another night! I will definitely be returning and look forward to it. A first choice for Cardiff City Centre.

I cannot believe this is a premier inn!

We stayed for on night at this Premier Inn as we were seeing an act at St David’s Hall. The location was brilliant even for a pair of oldies like us as it only took us 10 mins. to get to the theatre. The reception area was a delight lit up with fairy lights, a lovely bar area and pleasant restaurant which we later found out served very well cooked evening meals which was great before heading out in the evening. The bar was very welcome for a nightcap on our return before heading up to our room. The room was a standard Premier quality. When you book with Premier you know what expect but you get a comfortable bed and a spotlessly clean en suite bathroom . What else do you need. We also had a panoramic view of Cardiff from the window. The breakfast was also very good quality with plenty of choice. Finally I would like to mention the staff who were all so nice and helpful. Very hard working youngsters who are a credit to the hotel. Will definitely be using this Premier again
