Brilliant with all the basics! We've stayed at the Hull Road Travelodge now on several occasions. It's perfect for visiting our kid at York Uni. 
Bells and whistles are not to be expected: but the helpful and kind staff; immaculately clean rooms; free parking; closeness to the university and town centre are. If you need for anything that isn't available in your room, like an iron for example, a quick visit to reception is all that it takes.
Kayleigh was so helpful, kind and professional during our last visit that I feel she needs a special mention! 
I honestly couldn't ask for a better place to stay...but if I had one wish, it would be that Travelodge include a points type system for returning customers.

Perfect!

Excellent stay, clean and tidy and a great location for York very easy to get into the center.  Car Park was safe and secure with CC TV
Staff very helpful, especially Kayleigh on reception. 
I was able to combine work with with a coupe of days site seeing

Business and pleasure trip

I was checked in by Sue the Supervisor, very warm and friendly. Lovely and personable way about her. Room was very neat and tidy. Nice and quiet not near a main today which is very much appreciated. Bed and pillows are very comfy would definitely recommend.

Great experience.

This Travelodge had a great Friendly welcome on arrival, with a very clean room, this is my second stay here and is a great location for visiting the  uni of york and beautiful city of York. I was thrilled when i found out travelodge is dog friendly and i bought my dog with me for my first stay. Just need pub next door to start offering breakfast again to make it completely perfect, however did find Grubs 5 mins walk away where we had lovely breakfast.

Great stay

Sue the supervisor greeted us with a smile and was very welcoming and helpful, perfect after a long two hour drive. Twin room was very clean and bathroom also very clean which is important to me. The location is perfect for a visit into York. Very nice and good value for money,

Clean

Lovely hotel staff sue at reception very welcoming. Room was nice and clean and smelt good. Lots of tea and coffee available to take from reception. Only lacking a hairdryer but a comfortable short stay

Lovely service very welcoming 

Quiet location about 40min walking or 10 min cycling from the city centre.  Good car parking and the adjacent pub serves breakfast albeit only at weekends.   Very warm welcome from Sue at reception on arrival.  The room was clean and the bed comfortable and was just right for the one night stopover.  We'd use it again based on this stay.

Comfortable convenient venue

A very friendly and warm welcome from Sue on reception and a huge room which was a surprise. Both the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and fresh. Great to have s proper walk-in shower instead of the usual 3/4 sized bath.

Huge room, fantastic staff

Check in was one of the friendliest we've had at a Travelodge for a long time, love that northern hospitality. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. 
Some decor a little dated, TV a little small (we didn't use it anyway though but may be useful to know for parents keeping kids occupied) and there is a lack of plug sockets if you need more than 2/3 at the same time, but no major complaints that matter and these didn't affect our stay whatsoever.

Great hotel nice and clean,Sue on reception was very welcoming had a great ... .. .... Smile and very polite and helpful will definitely be back again couldn't do enough to make sure my stay was a good one
