Fan in room and great big windows with good black out blinds. Comfy bed and pillows too

The TV is too small. You have a cooker that doesn’t work without pots or pans.

It feels safe and has good working facilities but the dumpsters right out the front make the street really dirty.Only a 20 minute walk from the train station and close to the beach and a nice walk to the lanes and town centre. I would say that the rooms are very minimalist and don’t look much like the pictures but they have everything you would need for a weekend stay.

Great location, however mattress and pillows need updated

Great location but that’s the only positive about this hotel. We arrived using the check in instructions and were taken to room 1. It was awful, the decor was dated, furniture falling apart, coffee splatters up the furniture, dust everywhere and the bathroom had hairs in the shower tray. I ask to be moved to alternative room in the hope it would be cleaner. We were shown to another room 2 floors up which was slightly better but still the floor seemed grubby and there was dust everywhere. Would not recommend this hotel at all, not sure how it is currently 4 stars on trip advisor when you look at the most recent reviews. Don’t be fooled!

Avoid

This was my first solo trip away so I was hoping everything would be smooth and stress free, which it was. The hotel is faceless (didn’t see any staff on site) and keyless meaning you check yourself in with a code and email them when you check out, to be honest suited me and no issues. I was very impressed with the room as a whole (Room 3, double with partial sea view). It wasn’t the cleanest but I was prepared for that due to viewing previous reviews, nothing terrible and as I was there for one night so not an issue. Wasn’t too noisy and about a 5-8 min walk to Brighton pier. It had a mini kitchen including microwave, fridge and mini hob- if your planning to cook there it’s just plates and cutlery, no pans or pots. I would stay again for a short stay 👍

Last minute trip to Brighton

A really nicely set out room with a sofa. Helpful staff. What I would suggest is a more through clean. There was dust on the kitchen shelves. The spong supplied to wash items in the kitchenette was used and dirty and there was bits and dental floss under the bed. If the cleaning was more substantial it would have been 5 stars.

1. Whilst my wife was in bed and having a snack, the window was open due to the hot weather and a strange man stood outside looking at her as she sat half dressed and kept looking at her, this made her unsafe and terrified. 2. When I arrived, my access code did not work on the first try, I kept trying and trying and didn’t work, had to wait for assistance after a long day travelling. Poor poor

The room was nothing like the pictures, instead we got a dark basement room. The door was opened with a code and didn’t have a lock on the inside which felt very unsafe. There was a tiny patio that we couldn’t use because it was covered in bird faeces and had a pigeon family living there. This also meant we couldn’t open the windows because of all the flies. The water pressure was good but the water didn’t get very warm. The bedding had stains and didn’t feel clean.Nice with a fridge and microwave and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. I guess we got what we paid for, but still over all very disappointed.

Nothing like the pictures

I picked this hotel as it was my husbands birthday and wanted to treat him to 2 nights away. When we arrived I had to ring a number on the door. A man came and said I was to read my email. I did not get an email. He then charged me £30 for a parking permit. I explained we had a blue badge but he said we still need one. Turns out we did not need to pay at all.nor did he explain you have to drive around for ages to try and get a parking space in the right zone! The room was ok. Bathroom had not been cleaned properly, someone's earring was still on the side. Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean.   Code to get into building and room was a brilliant idea,no need for extra keys. I would not stay again. It's a lot of money for a room that felt like a hostel. We did not feel welcomed and nothing was really explained to us. For the amount we paid I expected more.
