We had a nice, three bed room at Fiveways. 
Clean and tidy. Fresh smelling bedding on soft, comfortable beds.
Shared bathroom and toilet, but at the price, can't expect more.
Very friendly and helpful manager.
Clean 'help yourself' kitchen. 

After a conversation with the manager, I'm appealing to future guests - please don't steal cutlery, mugs, plates etc, or towels. The prices are low, don't take the mickey.

Would definitely stay again.

I'd stay again

Don't expect 5 star when staying here but you do get clean bedding and a clean room.  The bathroom is shared but that wasn't a problem when we went and the shower itself was very good. 
You can hear some noise but that's to be expected given that the rooms are above a pub.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Basic but clean and tidy

Stayed overnight with my partner and was shocked at the £120 charge for what was on offer.The window was cracked,the decor was shabby and the bathroom was down the hall.The power never worked in the kitchen so the self service breakfast was non existent.On a good point the staff downstairs were wonderful and looked after us all night and were like old friends.Great selection of beer and lager and a cracking jukebox.

Don't expect luxury

Unfortunately the walls were rather thin so could hear everytime people were in kitchen or did anything outside of below. However the room was a great size and did exactly what we needed at a great price. Shame some of the other guests saw fit to come banging on our door drunk at 2.30am but that's hardly the pubs fault. They weren't happy about it upsetting their Facebook rating so moved it here

Cheap and cheerful

This accommodation is situated above The Fiveways Pub on Boothferry Road. From the outside it looks a bit careworn, couple of letters are missing from the signage and there’s ad’s there for local taxi company’s. The rooms are of a generous size, the decor is pleasant and the beds are comfy. I booked this on late rooms and nowhere did it say that it wasn’t a hotel and had shared facilities with no food offering. The room was pay on arrival so you would naturally assume that they accepted most common payment methods. You have to phone admin if you want to pay by card or walk to the cash machine to get money. I think that I was the only person in the ‘hotel’ last night and as such the only heating on offer was a small electric heater which wasn’t really adequate for the size of the room. The pub downstairs was okay. Clientele were a little brash but welcoming and the drinks were keenly priced. There was loud music from the pub until closing time and I was at the front of the pub so heard all the comings and goings too. The sash windows, although looking nice aren’t very functional at keeping the heat in and the noise and cold out. Perhaps screens might be the next addition. In short, there’s not a great deal wrong with the hotel. The add on late rooms is misleading, it’s not a place for families, there’s no food offer and at £40 it’s overpriced in my honest opinion. Which might explain why it was empty. I’ll not be stopping again.
