Host were very friendly and welcoming.
Bed was very comfortable lovely clean fresh bedding.
Bathroom clean and well equipped lovely hot shower.
Breakfast was tasty and hot lots of choice

Warm and comfortable 

Stayed at the Cleaver Cottage B&B for two nights whilst visiting Thruxton race circuit for the BTCC,great place,very cosy,ample parking,nice size room,very clean,lovely breakfast,freindly & helpfull owner,very peaceful location but easy access to several pubs,race track & main roads,couldn't fault it at all and very good value for money.

Lovely Two Night Stay

First class, made to feel very welcome,accommodation was clean and very comfortable. Very helpful when I asked for a recommendation for somewhere to eat in the evening. Lovely view from my room (see photo) A+ from me.

One Night Stay

My first stay in cleaver cottage and I have prebooked a weekly stay till Dec , love the quaintness , scrummy breakfast , attentive owner / host. 

Lovely to wake up to the view of the fields and the cows , quiet road , only 15 mins from work 😊

Very nice 

The rooms all have quaint names (we stayed in the Garden shed but were next door to the Wine cellar). Hosts are very welcoming and the rooms are  decorated to a good standard with decent facilities 'en suite'. Enough seating for two in the room which is also a plus (although there was a shared lounge available as well). Great parking although the road outside the cottage is surprisingly busy for a country lane at night. The nearest pub doesn't always serve food [The Walnut Tree] but the next nearest [The Lion] was good , even if the walk there was a mile over a ridge! Breakfast was a communal affair at a shared table and this allowed good conversation and interaction with other guests.

Friendly hosts in a countryside location

We spent three days in Cleaver Cottage over Christmas. A wonderful find. Super hospitable owners. We were a group of 11 including children and it was perfect even down to the pretty Christmas tree.Thank you.

Lovely Christmas Stay.

We were saddened to be told off at 8am when baby was crying and told to come downstairs as we would wake other guests. Skirting board in all areas of room very dusty. Mattress uncomfortable, could feel the springs.. breakfast on first morning poor, 1 dried up sausage and hard bacon. Felt unwelcome. On the 2nd day totally different. Fresh breakfast, smiling and chatty.  Bathroom good. Would love to have known beforehand that there was a kitchen we could use.

Changeable from one day to next

We booked for 1 single 1 double room for 1 night when we arrived  we were sort of greeted by the owner, shown to our rooms. The rooms smelled musty, my daughter informed me she had a dirty pillow. The owner then asked what time we would like breakfast. "We said about 8.30am, the owner replied "good I start work at 9.00am!
In the morning we went down for breakfast, wish we didn't bother, the breakfast was anaemic in colour, my daughter and I asked for scrambled eggs, more like scrambled splodge! Cheap produce, cheap plastic bread. My Husband was still eating his toast and his plate was whipped away. We then found out the owner worked from home and was rushing us at breakfast so she could get on with her  work. 
I then went to pay, the owner was speaking on the phone the whole time whilst I carried out my payment . Patted me on the arm, when I'd finished, still carried on with her conversation, so very Rude!!!  I couldn't wait to leave this accommodation and will never return. This woman lacked common grace and communication skills, and also cooking skills.
