Missenden Abbey

We booked afternoon tea for my Mothers Birthday and we had a great time. From arrival the staff were so friendly and helpful. We arrived early and were prepared to wait, however the receptionist contacted the restaurant and next thing through to the tea room we went. They even adjusted the entrance doors to assist my disabled Mother through reception and nothing was too much trouble. We were shown our table and the tea arrived shortly after. Great care taken to accommodate our allergies and intolerances without compromising on the selection or any fuss. A good choice on sandwiches and cakes, homemade jam made on the premises and clotted cream. All most delicious and very filling, so much so the waitress gave us a box to take the remaining items home as we were unable to eat anymore. The Abbey and grounds are well worth a visit, we had a nice stroll round after the tea and a lovely afternoon, I would recommend for a special occasion.
