The staff were very friendly, the rooms were clean (although I was quite warm at night, as the fan did not work). Also note that the Wi-Fi was fairly scarce, but if that were more readily available I would return!

Manhattan is a nice familiar place at a quiet location at Nambirembi hill near the cathedral. The garden is nice to eat and relax. The kitchen can be a bit slow. Rooms are value for money and staff is friendly. It's possible to walk to the centre or take a bodaboda for less then 1 dollar. If you want wifi, just ask the manager.

Nice cheap rooms at quick place near Kampala centre

Manhattan guesthouse is a nice little place situated in the rather quiet Namirembe not far from the busy city center. Although my room was a bit run down, it was clean with a fan and hot/cold water in the shower. There is a small restaurant serving not very inspiring food, but the restaurant garden is nice and the staff is friendly. Definitely good value for money!

It was ok

I don't want to be negative about this guesthouse as I liked my stay there. It took my taxi drive eight attempts at finding this guesthouse but an hour an half later we found it. It is in the midfle of nowhere but it was a quiet area. Staff are friendly. The only downside was if you wanted an alcoholic drink the staff would have to go out and get it.

My Stay In Kampala

Owner lives on premises and was obnoxiously loud until late at night.

Rooms are not clean. Bed sheets and mosquito nets were torn. Towels provided were old and stained.

Very unpleasant stay.

Only positive was the friendly staff.

Not worth it, book elsewhere.

This place is really terrible. Staff was acting uninterested and strange. The room wasn't clean and very hot. The guesthouse is not situated on the location that's pointed out on the tripadvisor map. It's in the middle of nowhere. 
We left after 10 minutes and went to another guesthouse.
