Olimpiyat Hotel Bornova

We reserved this place sight unseen from the internet but we all liked it,  especially for the price.  The two brothers that run it were very helpful and seemed to be the perfect types to run a hotel.  They arranged taxis,  had area maps and gave good information and directions.

Great Central Hotel 

We were told explicitly that the room would be a non-smoking room. Every inch of the room smelled like smoke. We wanted to change the room and we got told that it would not be possible. It was dirty, there was dust everywhere, hairs on the bed and all over the bathroom, stains on the bed and pillows, there were stains of human feces in the toilet and on the tiles in the bathroom . I haven't slept the night, even the blanket was itchy. We arrived around two after midnight so we stayed in the room and cancelled for the next couple of days. Otherwise we would have cancelled right away. A tip if you still do decide to stay here. Make sure you see your room first before the payment. Because we got taken advantage of by paying first, it was late we were sleepy and jetlagged. So we payed and right after when we saw the room we said that we wanted another room or our money back and both wouldn't be possible according to the receptionist. All in all the city is great and there are great affordable hotels. If I could give minus starts I would. I usually don't leave bad reviews but there are pictures attached as proof.
