Private Pool Villas By The Slate

We were looking for idea's of what to do on the last day of our 10 night Phuket trip from checking out of our last resort at 12 noon to needing to be at the airport at 18:30 to check in for our flight. I checked The Slate website, as after staying here two years ago when it was still Indigo Pearl and was delighted to discover they were able to offer a 'Just for a day" package which suited our needs perfectly as we were able to use the hotel facilities, including a room for the afternoon from 2pm in which to shower in before our flight home and included a transfer back to Phuket airport. It was fantastic to be back at the resort. A nice extra touch was the greeting from the resort manager Majorie, as she had assisted greatly with my enquiry and booking where she told us about some of the changes at the resort since our last stay. The check in procedure went smoothly and quickly and we were taken to our room by buggy which was nice and close to the beach. It was nice to wander around the resort and remember our previous, perfect stay and take more photos of the picturesque grounds after losing some previous photos. It was also nice, and a good sign as the resort as an employer to see some of the same team working at the resort from our previous stay. The lady who served us in Tongkah Tin Sydincate, where we chose to relax with drinks before heading back to the room to change for the flight, had served us nightly in Rebar on our previous stay with fantastic service, even remembered us and what my choice of cocktail always is. The area and beach around the resort has developed greatly over the last 2 years including 9what i think is) new quicker route back to the airport which takes under 10 minutes. Anyone visiting Phuket needs to experience the amazing service, facilities and atmosphere at The Slate whether booking a complete stay or just passing through as we did. The resort will always be a special place for us and we will definitely be back for a full stay in the future.
