We enjoyed it and had fun. Hotel got vibe we were expecting for. Stuff was nice, smiling and helpful. I like food there. We absolutely loved the animations. View’s perfect in this place and few minutes from hotel there’s lovely bar you can drink some coconut water.Surely we’ll be back there 😃

Zanzibar is a wonderful island but please do book excursions if you decide to go to this resort as otherwise you will get bored and you will start noticed very bad things! Such as the rooms condition, honestly I was not expecting luxury hotel I am used to travel, but is the first time and I hope the last I am not able to take a proper shower! Water is not always available and not working properly almost broken, it is frustrating coming back after a long day and not get a proper shower which should be the basic....the pools are not clean as well never swimmed in any of them they just used cloro for a beach party....Another annoying thing are the fake masai, guys they try to trick you in every single day not giving you time to enjoy silence and peace....honestly after the stress of work we wanted just peace and not spending time with fake masai so at some point I stopped go to the beach...the location is beautiful but far from everything if like me you lime explore and curious book elsewhere paje for example ....so not well mantained, annoying masai and missing the basics...let's talk about the positive things now: stuff is the best the waiters, the cheffs are super professional, nice and smiling and honestly. the foods is good, from this place you see the most beautiful sunset and the place is 10 minutes away from the mangrove and a lovely bar that does a delicious homemade tea, is just beautiful, highly recommended the massage! Is really special starting with a scrub and ending with a perfect massage

Details make difference 

I was extremely pleased with the service provided by Samwel, the waiter at Hotel Sandi Kae Beach. His professionalism and customer focus made the bar experience truly enjoyable. His skill in crafting drinks is remarkable, and his courtesy made every visit to the bar a memorable moment. I highly recommend taking advantage of his expertise to savor delicious drinks during your stay at this hotel

Sometimes its hard to leave a bad review because you feel you are betraying the good aspects and the friendly people involved. Nothing is rarely "bad" across the board. However the simple truth is this is in no way a 4 star hotel by any metric, nor worthy of a 4.5 overall rating on TripAdvisor. This doesn't mean it isn't worth visiting for some, but you shouldn't raise your expectations to the levels most of the reviews suggest. 

I want to start off by saying some positive things:
1) A nice clean quiet part of the beach with lovely sand. When the tide is in, its wonderful swim. Its not the seaweed / rock mess that other larger beach areas are and is protected by the cove.
2) Food was generally decent. As other reviews have said, a little low on meat, but to be expected on an island. 
3) Mr. Adam from the hotel excursions office organised two hassle free trips much cheaper than our travel agency could provide. 
Similarly (sorry forgot the name) representative from the spa was friendly and sorted out two very good massages for us at a reasonable price. 
4) Nice bottled beer in the all-inclusive plan rather than the usual watered down draught you usually get. 
5) Good housekeeping team. Rooms were turned down at night with anti-mosquito sheets. 

And now onto the flaws of this place. 

1) Events / animation team / facilities are pretty much non-existent. French people get their own team who mostly ignore everyone else. Only thing we ever heard going on was Aqua-gym every day. Outside of that no one ever approached us for anything. There's a unused small volleyball area and a pathetic outdoor "gym" consisting of a some poles with paint cans on the end, neither of which are ever used. Evening events are hit and miss whether they actually happen. One "cinema" night we actually had to set up the projector ourselves and just put on a movie with poor sound as no one else around. Other events just never materialised. 

2) The pool bar area is tiny and getting drinks is a slow chore. There is a pleasant-ish seating area under a tree but rarely used as it would be difficult to get drinks there. 

3) Certain not the majority or even many but enough experiences with rude or ignorant staff to cast a bad impression over drink serving. 

4) Often music onto the early hours, so despite being nicely away from the hustle and bustle of some of the other hotel areas, certainly not ideal for a quiet break. 

5) Rooms themselves were dated and pretty thin walls. Pretty noisy when people moving around, even though no one was doing anything out of the ordinary.  

6) Getting to the hotel is a bit of a nightmare. Extremely bumpy roads which are hard for taxis to get in and out. 

So in all, if you get this place VERY cheaply, its a decent break for a week. Just lower your expectations that you are getting a 4 star experience or that you are going to be entertained. its really just a place to sit by the pool or a base for excursions. 

More specifically:
1) I wouldn't come to this place unless you are French and its via Coralia French Package as there is barely any entertainment. 
2) Don't come here expecting a quiet holiday where you can relax and then have a good night's sleep. 
3) Don't come here for sports or any similar activities. 
4) Don't come here expecting a premium all-inclusive experience where you can prop up a pool bar all day. 



This place is..... ok

The resort immediately immerses you in the exotic ambience of the island, with palm trees surrounding the swimming pools and very nice, air-conditioned and above all clean wooden cottages, with a daily supply of water bottles!
The animation is nothing less than exceptional, fun and always welcoming, even animating dinners with traditional dances and shows! The Kae beach resort is pure fun under the motto 'Hakuna Matata', always with respect for the peace and relax of the holiday!

We stayed in bungalow 706, we arrived on August 9 and left on August 21. Very tasty food, friendly and welcoming staff. We cleaned and treated mosquitoes in the room every day. We really liked it👍🏻 We didn't want to leave at all😄. We had a wonderful rest😍

A memorable holiday.

We had a fabulous stay in Sansi! Everything was perfect. We were welcomed with a very cool towel and a welcome drink. The masseuses took care of our luggage. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The families have 2 bathrooms. The flow of water from the shower is constant (which is rarely the case in other hotels in Zanzibar). The wifi works very well everywhere in the hotel. The complex has 2 pleasant swimming pools and 2 restaurants. One eats very well in a buffet on the menu.

That's perfect!

We stayed in this little human-sized coconut, we especially enjoyed the proximity to the reception team (small eye clap to Marie and a big thank you to Babe who thanks to her kindness we were able to retrieve our lost suitcase at the airport!! little advice (planning a change in your hand luggage 🤭) it will avoid staying in jeans and pull all day long!!! The rooms are very nice, we had the 101 sea view of the reception floor 👍👍 top, we were taken in the morning by the noise of the waves. Thanks for all the attention at our wedding reception ♥️.

A honeymoon

The destination is very far away for what there is to see and do; the hotel is very nice; the rooms are large, well-entertained, the literature is very small, however...unless you're amazed by seeing white sand and coconut trees! but you can get this by going to the Caribbean or Thailand for the same price and services (see even better!). The hotel is nice, no more. The rooms are large, well-entertained, the literature is very large, but the only major drawback is that it's a very patient, very inclusive restaurant with which it's difficult to get a good night's sleep. The staff is smiling and serene, it's worth noting: There's a permanent entrance to the hotel at the top of the hill, near the fisherman's pool... but you can't be disappointed, no more. But you can't go to the hotel without paying your guests a lot of attention!

Too far away for so little... not much to see or do, just a fashion effect!

We were worried about a lot of negative reviews about this hotel, but we were finally very pleasantly surprised. It's not the great luxury, but we found the price ratio excellent. The hotel is restful, the meals are very good, the parties are varied and pleasant and the staff are really hospitable. And contrary to what some reviews say, the pool is very clean, the All Inclusive includes the seafront and the pool, the WI FI works very well everywhere in the hotel and in the rooms. We had a very pleasant stay and we greet Lamine, Ashraf, Beby and Marie, who were always very available.
