We booked this hotel on a very short notice, within half an hour! We called the owner, David, who sorted out everything for us, and we found two rooms waiting for us when we arrived. It is shared with other people, however it was clean, comfortable, and a few minutes away from the beach. I would highly recommend it to people who are looking for a peaceful place to stay at!

4  flour  in  apartment  building.  With  view.  On  the  shore  of  Indian  O. Ordinary but friendly and cheapest ever. 25 dolars - room. Next time only Roof of Gardens House of Changes. Warm water, tea & coffe, bread and access to kitchen.

I started my journey here and went back when I left again. The beauty of this place is the quiet and safe environment, the very hospitable and helpful host and the freedom I had in the house. I was allowed to use everything, large balcony, kitchen, sitting room, flat roof and often there was no one in the house. As a starting point of my trip, I could explore the area, arrange SIM card and things like that. I got good information from the host. At the end of my trip and after several other accommodations, I really wanted a place where I could rest. I also wanted to iron clothes, because I had a short business meeting. This was the ideal place for that! When I had made a mistake on one of those first days with money notes in a taxi and paid too much, David helped me and made sure that I got the money back. Someone else might have put it in his own pocket. But honestly, the house was not perfect. It needs some maintenance on the windows and in the kitchen is only a pit to cook, but that is being worked on in the short term. The shower works great and the wifi too!

Very welcoming place, extremely helpful owner, perfect view!

Very helpful  owner David. Only one in Dar es Salaam bought me and family tickets for Tazara train to Mbeya!

Nice quiet and safe place with very friendly host

we booked this hotel and when we arrived we were turned away as this is now an apartment building with long term rentals. this is NO LONGER A HOTEL. we have lost money (were not refunded) and we’re left in the middle of the night in an unfamiliar place.

this is no longer a hotel. no not book.

Disgusting bathroom, tired furniture, horrible dirty kitchen. I booked through booking.com so I will have to pay for it and I still left after 5 hours and found other accomodations.  Only good thing was the view. Needs a total re-do. I am use to staying in guest houses and just came from a week in Ethiopia so don't expect luxury but this was horrible.

Horrible..... Stay away

The view from the balcony was indeed beautiful, but apart from that view there is nothing to recommend in this place. A place that needs some urgent repairs and cleaning. Miserable bathroom, dirty kitchen, mosquito nets not worth the name. The owner might be helpful, when he's around. We met him only once when he was about to go to sleep. Still waiting for a refund two months after his promise he would do so.
