There is a lift so no problem bringing the luggage up to the room. Room is spacious but looks old and with bath tub in the toilet. There isn't any shower curtains though so toilet becomes very wet after the shower. Internet connection in the room was poor. The worst thing was the room had many insects because the place is surrounded by gardens so not only my kids but kids from other families whom I went with all got bitten. A few of them were bitten badly until the children ended up running fever and ruin the trip as I couldn't sleep at night and had to take care of them. Only comforting was the breakfast served was still relatively good though not a big selection but taste wise was good. Won't be back again with my kids.

Won't recommend if you are with kids

When arriving the owner came out to greet us. He was friendly, but that was probably because we speak Chinese and my sis inlaw is Taiwanese. My first impression was this place is really old. However, the rooms are maintained well for east taiwan standards and the room was clean and presented nice. 

There are nice gardens and a sitting area next to the water features in the hotel garden. This is a very traditional style of Chinese hotel.

The buffet breakfast was really busy as this place seems to be popular with travelers from China. The food is just a simple Taiwanese breakfast so don't expect western comforts.

I stayed in room 322 which was cool and had a good breeze. My brother stayed in 308 but asked to be moved because a previous patron had smoked in the room. 

Old hotel. But just ok.

The hotel is location away from the main thoroughfare.  The building is old and not well maintained.  The actual main entrance along the main street was blocked and we have to go around the side entrance.  Reception were not at all friendly and does not speak Engllish.

The triple room we had was located in another adjacent block and is situated on the second floor. There are no lifts and we have to lug our luggages up.  The room was sparsely furnished with dim lightings and really old fittings both in the toilets/ bathroom and bedroom.  There are old fixtures like hot water dispenser which were not in used installed.  Toiletries and amenities were spartan...plastic sachets of shampoo, bath gel etc.... 

Morning breakfast was a mad rush for food with many mainland Chinese.  The selection were mainly local food and were oily and starchy.  Only loaves of white bread with margarine and peanut butter make up for the 'western'  alternative.  Cut-fruits served don't look fresh and there were many small fruit flies around.  The saving grace is the decent coffee maker with freshly brewed selection.  

Overall a very old hotel with run-down facilities and services.  It's quite a walk to the night market so better to walk there and take a tai back.  And remember to get the hotel's namecard to show the driver.
