The girl at the reception was very nice. She did her very best to make our stay wonderful.  She accepted early check in and  even made arrangements herself to have breakfast available early than usual. She also served us during the meal.  WELL done !!!  The room has a nice old character with good bathroom and heating.   The hotel is just 10 mins walk from the historic centre - when you go out of the hotel , walk on the right towards the lights , and go always straight.
We had no problem with parking but it was low season.  Parking areas of hotel are limited. Ideally bookings for free private parking needs to be made.

I would rate Hotel Alpi 4.5 stars if I could.  The room was clean, quiet and comfortable.  It was a good size -- not spacious but adequate room to store everything, including closet and shelf space.  There was a small balcony overlooking the courtyard, with mountain peak views.  Water pressure and drainage were good.

The location is good.  It's outside the city center but close enough to walk.  The "old town" is close.  The highway is within a mile or two.  There have parking in front of the hotel -- there aren't a lot of spaces but we always found room for our car. (Not too much room though -- the spaces are not wide.)  Getting to the hotel was little confusing; we passed by the street a couple times looking for it, but once we figured it out there was no problem.

The only negative I had was that the stairway, elevator and hallways were not great.  They could use new rugs, more lighting and updated decor.  However you don't stay in those areas so it's a trivial complaint.

The staff is great.  Their English is limited -- enough to get by but don't figure on philosophical discussions.  They were all friendly though, and attentive to our needs.

Breakfast is adequate in selection and, being buffet style, as much as you want.

We had dinner three nights in the pleasant dining room and courtyard.  There was ample choice, and prices were about average for the area -- not cheap, but acceptable.  And they didn't mind us splitting a meal.

Bottom line:  we'd stay there again if we ever go back to the area.
