Went there for diving the facility is excellent, walking distance from platforms and diving schools... small but good rooms clean and tidy and happy and attentive staff

It was absolutely beautiful.  Our room overlooked the water, it was stunning.  The breakfast included was great as well.  Helpful, kind staff.

Historical hotel in the middle of Lysekil: great personnel, a lot of great food downstairs and nearby.However: bring earplugs! It's a relatively old hotel with no soundproofing: Between the enthusiastic couple next door and the drunk guys shouting in the corridor, it was very noisy....

Superb place and staff, noisy rooms

Good location but old hotel, really small room. Expensive for the standard but that's what you have to pay when you are in a summer town in the summer. You could hear the sound from the corridor. We got a room facing the back of the hotel. The hotel's parking lot was full (SEK 200) but we found free parking on Norra Kvarngatan about 500 m from the hotel. Breakfast was served (07: 00-10: 00) in the restaurant next to the hotel, it was good and had a quite large selection.

Good location not so impressive hotel

Very comfortable beds, nice and clean room and breakfast good and ordinary.We had very warm whether during stay so the room was hot and no air conditioning (not at all common in Sweden so did not expect this). And when having the windows open it was a bit noisy from street and restaurants. But overall nice stay.

Nice hotel, clean room

During Covid times we try to avoid elevators so we ask for a room on the lower floors if not the ground floor. Lysekil hotel responded they booked us on the first floor so we continued with the booking. Upon check-in, reception informed that there were no cleaners that day so we were placed on the 3rd floor. Parking was free on the parking area outside the hotel because it was off-season. The room was quite small, very bare, with just a bed, no kettle, no fridge. The bathroom has been waiting for an upgrade for some time. The next day, we were able to  transfer to a  first floor room and here,  it was the room needing an upgrade . The room was also at the end of the corridor so wifi was a disaster. Good that we were on pure semester and not trying to work. Breakfast was pre-plated. A plate per person you get from the bar. A plate had some slices of ham/salami, cheese, bread, one cocktail tomato, one slice of cucumber, 2 slices of paprika and a boiled egg. Coffee, tea, juice and yoghurt was on buffet, as well as jam. No fruits. The breakfast room was many levels higher standard than breakfast itself. It was  big and had ample spaces between tables, very covid safe, charmingly decorated, and was bright and had very nice views of the sea. Even if we were not so pleased with the hotel, we rated this part of the Sweden trip (West Coast + Skåne) highest, because of the beauty and charm of Lysekil, Smögen, Kungshamn, and Hunnebostrand.  Lysekil hotel is perfectly located to visit these areas. These places in Bohuslän, are comparable and probably better than other nature spots we visited in the US, Europe, and Asia.

Location perfect for Bohuslän sightseeing

Stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. Nothing fancy but the price is very okay. Rooms are a bit dated but has everything you need. Breakfast was okay taking into mind that it was during the corona pandemic. Fantastic view from the restaurant.

Good standard hotel

A little old fashioned hotel but nice and clean. The restaurant has a fantastic view over the harbor. Close to everything.

Standard hotel in city center

Excellent Hotel. The staff went out of their way for us. It is conveniently located. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to stay there.

We were met as family members! Excellent service, great staff! The room was small, but very clean and neat, right in town within reach of every sight in town. Wonderful breakfast the next morning. We were advised to walk to the old part of town, what a quaint and wodnerful place. Definetely coming back
