Proximity to Tiveden's national park outstanding

The holiday houses are situated on a hill overlooking a lake. The holiday house itself was not in a good condition though and we first had to clean it. Especially the mattresses were very dirty. The pricing is not transparent. We were overcharged 200 SEK and were not able to find out for what even after calling the property.

 I lived in a cabin for a few days and here are some compliments and things they maybe could fix.

Good:

Close to hiking trials, And beautiful lakes.

Nice and clean houses.

Beautiful view of the Forrest.

Wild animals walking by in the morning.

Football and activity area nearby.

Clean toilets and rooms.

Great pillows and quilt.

Close to fishing lakes

Bad:

Odd and old stove, but you get used to it.

Minimal kitchenware although still functional.

Conclusion:

It’s a very nice place, although I give it 4 Stars because it wasn’t exceptional, but it  was great for what we wanted.

Stigmansgarden: a special place :-)

Great locations when camping with dogs and your vacation plan is dog training or hiking in the forrest! Cottages would need some renovating,  but the staff was very kind and the dinners we have ordered were delicious!

My husband and I booked an apartment for two nights. Unfortunately there were only bunk beds in both bedrooms, rather uncomfortable. The apartment was completely furnished, the furniture very dated though. I hate to complain, but it was indeed not too clean. So best not to look in the corners or sinks or at the windowsills or mattresses....To be fair, Stigmansgården is advertised as "lodging close to nature", but that certainly shouldn't account for the dirt and grease and hairs? Oh, and the smell. Luckily I had a scented candle and some fabric freshener...
On the plus side, the location is unbeatable. Very close to Tiveden, quite secluded in the woods but with Karlsborg and the nearest supermarket only a twenty minute drive away, with a breathtaking view on the lake from the balcony of the apartment. On the first night we were the only people there. So if you seek a calm and isolated space away from it all to relax and unwind and are not bothered about a bit of dirt, this might be the place for you.
