We had a wonderfull stay at Pigeon nest. As the chanches on rain is rather high in the afternoon in November we enjoyed the living room , good wifi en and our room with a view. In the evening sitting with open fire in the Living room ! In the morning you can have breakfast outside overlookin Nuwara Elyia. If need info for getting around speak to the owner  Great stay!

I was there for two nights at this beautiful and friendly hotel.
So the view of this hotel was amazing and the atmosphere was so so good in the living room they had chimney at night start fire it cause I feel better.
The rooms are clean 

Excellent experience 

We arrived in December. Located on higher mountain. Quiet and cold. Helpful and friendly staff. Ideal if you looked for Food and Beverage outlets of your choice  in the area prior to arrival since little options available in the hotel.
Rooms are cleaner and comfortable. Blanket in the room provide warmth as no heaters in the room.
Fire Place in the common area is really nice in the late evenings.
Overall :
value for money. 

Ideal place and time to visit. Need prior booking. 

We stayed in Deleux room with amazing view as tagged in AirBnB. Its a beautiful room with amazing views. The host Mr Price & his son Akram are very helpful! There are very few places in Nuwara with such nice views from room at such reasonable rate. Highly recommend! 



Super View. Great Host! 

Overall, I was disappointed in our room at Pigeons Nest. The bedroom and bathroom were cramped, with little room for luggage or toiletries.  The towels were small and thin. There were no little amenities such as a complimentary bottle of water, tea kettle with packets of instant coffee,  or shampoo.  

On the plus side, it was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable.  

My complaint with Trip Advisor is that the reviews are all relative. So, a person on a limited budget who is accustomed to hostels would think Pigeons Nest was worthy of excellent reviews. I would prefer there would be standards that would determine their ratings. I should have noticed that they did not have any star ratings on Pigeons Nest. 

I guess you get what you pay for. However, we spent the same amount on a lovely place in Kandy and were very pleased. 



Cramped, but clean

The staff were so friendly and the accommodating was cozy. We only stayed for one night but it was worth the money we spent. Great location really near to the town and 30 minutes from the train station.

Pigeons Nest is a charming little guesthouse with wonderful hospitality, great breakfast and stunning views. The owner Prince really makes you feel at home. You can enjoy the living room with the fire place or sit outside on the terrace and enjoy the incredible views.

Cosy and super friendly little boutique hotel

Prince’s home is indeed a home away from home. It has some of the neatest and cleanest rooms you’ll find in Nuwara Eliya and Perhaps even Sri Lanka. Getting there is quite easy, and it is about 10 minutes away from the city center. We were well taken care of by Chaminda, who made sure we felt at home the whole time. I highly recommend booking the top floor room for four people, it is cosy, private and has a lovely view (Thank you for the kind upgrade!).

Definitely Visiting Again

The owners were not friendly for local(sri lankan) travelers... asked too many unnecessary questions...They were trying to avoid us in the first place,asking the same question again and again...Best to avoid this place..
