We've spent there 10 days, and I'm sure it's one of the best places in Nuwara Eliya to spend holidays. It has wonderful views from your room balcony, Christian and his family is quite friendly, and can teach you to play pool :)
Overall, I'll come again if I ever in Nuwara Eliya again.

Amazing place with friednly family hosts

 We are a family of 3 couple and grandchild. Unfortunately we could only stay one night because this  place is wonderful.
 with beautiful views over the city and the lake. Spotless clean, very kind and helpful staff. Spacious modern rooms with exceptionally strong pressure of hot water in the shower.
We sure come next time again.

The facility, location, and amenities were great. Excellent service.Great place to stay. The staff was very helpful. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds. We really enjoyed our stay at Silverdew and we would definitely stay there again.

Very rude and unhelpful staff not ready to accept complaints. Hot water did not work. No heating as promised. Don't waste your money. Guaranteed to spoil your experience. Ample good places nearby. Utter crap!

Below par features and services

There is a mistake in mentioning the owner.
Mr. Tudor is just the manager.. The owners have rented it out to him to be managed.. The owner of silverdew is Dr. Mrs. Rohini Weerakoon (retired visiting physician at Karapitiya teaching hospital, Galle) and Dr. Udaya Weerakoon (currently working as Eye consultant at the same hospital). Mr. Tudor does not own the property NOR is it sold to him. Please do not misunderstand.

About the owner.

Stayed one night at this guesthouse and enjoyed the facilities.

New building with good views from the top floor balcony and the ground floor rooms facing the lake.

Included breakfast was slow in its arrival but the charming staff, who some little English, did get the job done.

Price was midway between the low end and high end establishments in Nuwara Elia. Best feature is the Silver Dee's location and its owner Tudor. 

Good View and Charming Owner + Staff

The place can be a little difficult to locate but is certainly worth it at the top of a small winding road. The hotel is small but very modern and very tastefully decorated and designed. Our room has a breathtaking view of the area. a pre ordered breakfast was made for us in the morning and was just as wee liked it. Impressed by the overall service and friendliness of the staff. Well done and many thanks

Brilliant views

We stayed here for three nights ,were met to be informed the management had our rooms so we're given a room in lobby with light shining all night ,people on phones, etc was impossible to sleep ,given wet towels and told that's how it is in Sri Lanka.Had to argue with the manager for dry ones
Overall rooms were cold ,had hairs and dust everywhere amenities all had to be asked for several times, meal choices non existent ,bar empty .An overpriced substandard joke especially compared to our other experiences . Would definitely not stay here or recommend.Read glowing reviews the next day that were posted by friends and management. This is a travesty .

Big disappointment 

It's an amazing place to view the city and all the mountains around. As well as the lake. Staff is so friendly and enthusiastic. Price tag is bit higher even in the off season. But you will enjoy the time and whether. Special thanks to Sasanka and a team.
