Highly recommend this place good environment . good food and good service the people who are working there  very friendly I am really lucky to be in this place. Also if you want any help like birthday celebration and if you want go Safari they will provide vehicle for you they are always ready to do it I am really appreciate about the staff

Hands down the best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka. Hosts are amazing, friendly and attentive. Great value for money and they can arrange all the activities at a great price. I recommend the local village tour and cooking class, cultural and lion rock. 
We loved it so much we have visted for a second time, just to see the hosts again.

Fabulous stay, excellent, friendly host and staff, the  food was delicious, clean room. Nice veranda for chilling and watching the sun go down. Thoughtful touches like an adapter in the room. 
Just to note it is not safe to walk around after dark due to elephants!

Thushara and his family were very friendly.🥰 On a first day he took us for a little tour around his garden, showed us all different kinds of fruits he grows we didn’t even know and we also got coconut 🥥 🌴which was delicious. He arranged trip to Pidurangala (we woke up at 4AM to get there for sunrise) and Sigiriya.🦁 In the afternoon we went to the Kaudulla national park for a safari and we saw several kinds of animals but most importantly elephants.🐘 I recommend to ask him to arrange the trip for you, the guides/drivers were very friendly and helpful. We also used a laundry service, the next day we had our clothes👗 ready, everything was all right. 
The only disadvantage was that AC in our room was broken. Our guest was very sorry for this unfortunate situation and offered us discount, which was appreciated since we are students and travelling on tight budget.😇
I also have to mention, the the food🥘 was very delicious, we had all breakfast 🍳, lunch and dinner. Very tasty Sri Lankan food😋, good portions, especially the dinner was so big I almost couldn’t walk after eating all of it!😂
The overall experience was amazing, one of the best accommodations we had in Sri Lanka🇱🇰. The relationship between us and our guest was more like a friendship, which made the whole stay exceptional!🤩🥰😇

One of the best resort in the habarana area.i can recommend this place. Lovely room comfortable bed and doog service.Very calm and quite place.good view and all rooms face the wild view.big rooms,the resort has an excellent chef.dishes are marvellous.can expect five-star amenities.

We had such an incredible time with Thushara and his wonderful family. They made us feel right at home with them, and are just the kindest and friendliest people. We got to explore their amazing garden and learn how they cook some Sri Lankan staple foods like sambol and roti. And the food was absolutely amazing!! Staying with Thushara and his family was the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. I highly, highly recommend this experience to everyone!

We ended up here by accident and absolutely loved it. The room was lovely, the food was oustanding but best of all was the welcome from our hosts. Thushara himself took us to Sigiriya and Dambulla and nothing was too much trouble. I'd recommend this place to anyone seeking a very pleasant time in Habarana

The property is very comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere, and bedrooms are clean and spacious.  The hosts cooked very nice meals and were keen to show us the area and help us wherever possible.
With the help, advice for the local sights and typical Sri Lankan friendliness, we left this place feeling pleased we chose to stay here.

Thushara and his family are the best!

Fantastic stay

Lovely place and lovely hosts!

Having read some nice reviews my family and I were looking forward to our stay with Thushara and Manuka. Her cooking was excellent and his helpfulness was fantastic. I see some have made some negative comments about staying here but for what you pay and what you get it is wonderful. Even our girls were able to play with their daughters which was nice. Genuinely nice family and great 3 nights we spent here. To cap it off, having made an inquiry about a elephant key ring on his tuk tuk my daughters liked, he took us to the shop so we could biy them one each, Alas the shop had not left so he gave out 2 daughters one each of his own. This made their day and showed the generosity of Thushara. Could not be happier with our choice to stay here.

Exceptionally nice family to spend a few days with

We were lucky to have Thushara as our tuktuk driver one evening and we decided to arrange two excursions with him - one to Sigirya rock and one to Pidurangala Rock. Each time he helped us pick the best time to go, picked us up on time and gave us great information. He even guided us to the top of Pidurangala Rock which we were very grateful for in the pitch black! We finished each trip with a very big and tasty breakfast in the guest house.

Thushara is incredibly friendly and really goes out of his way to make sure you have a good time. He also took us to habarana lake to spot some wildlife and helped us to organise our onward transport to Kandy. 

One night we had a dinner which was probably our favourite of the trip. Menuka is a great cook and we must have had 10 or so separate dishes to sample for a very reasonable price. We regret we did not do a cooking class with her as it would have been great to try these recipes at home!

While we didn't stay here we really wish that we did. The location is beautiful with a very impressive garden - many different kinds of fruits growing and lots of wildlife to be seen.
From what we saw of the rooms they are simple with no frills. You can't walk into town but then this is true of most guest houses and hotels in the area.
