Lovely place to stay to escape the throbbing club music of Ella town, only bird song and frogs croaking. The owner is a true lover of nature, he feeds wild birds every morning, keeps bees, koi, pigeons, songbirds, 2 Great Danes and a daschund. A family run business where everyone chips. Super clean room with Wi-Fi, great breakfast of fresh fruit, eggs and more. 11/10

Quiet escape from Ella, homely and sweet

Excellent location and amazing view. Very kind owner. 
The room was very clean and spacious and so was the bathroom. The breakfast was a dream, best fruit in Sri Lanka so far. And the value for money of this place is just incredible. Highly recommended 

Fab view, excellent breakfast and great value 

The room was comfortable and cool and had everything we needed, the view from the terrace was incredible! The family were so welcoming and friendly and the food was delicious. They arranged and us tuk tuks into various places around Ella and took us down to Tangalle at the end of our trip! Would not hesitate to stay here again :)

Perfect stay!

Wills Homestay is an exceptionally beautiful place in Ella. The family has built a little jewel into the mountain here. We were lucky enough to be able to move into the highest room. There was an indescribably beautiful view with a dreamlike sunrise in the morning and the starry night in the evening. Perfectly integrated into the plant world, you have the feeling of living in the jungle. The food is excellent and plentiful. The hosts are very friendly. All in all an unforgettable stay with excellent value for money. We'd love to come back.

Most beautiful place in Ella - highest recommendation

We had a double room with big windows (from ceiling to floor) and an incredible view to Ella rock mountain. The acces to this room was private and we had a nice terrace with a table and chairs. Everything was clean and well maintained. Will is a lovely person, offering a delicious breakfast and tuk tuk services if need it. The house is closed to the Ella rock start point.Definitely the best stay in Sri-Lanka.

Room with an incredible view

We were looking for a place to stay with a view of Ella Rock. What we found here exceeded all expectations. The view from the balcony, the comfortable bed, ... but what made the stay so special was the familiar and helpful atmosphere of Gunardarse and his family. We felt at home here, with excellent food and great conversations. We will be back and recommend this accommodation to all of our friends. Thank you for this great time!

Wonderful place to stay in Ella

We had an excellent stay in Ella at Will guest home stay.
The view on the hills are amazing
The family is extremely kind and was proposing to us many activities around and driving us with their tuk tuk
The breakfast is excellent, we also had 1 delicious dinner at their place
We can only highly recommend this place and contact them directly instead of using booking.com to do your booking

Excellent place to stay in Ella

We were so happy to catch the amazing sunrise from the balcony in the morning what a view! Morning ambience Is so organic & chilling. The place is clean owners are nice and always contactable. As a local im really nice to see this kind of places and always there for support them! Place is worth! Keep up the good vibes!

Stunning view  & great hospitality

We stayed here 3 nights in february and enjoyed so much the place!!! 
The room is perfect with a balcony and an incredible view on the mountains, everything is very very clean.
Will and his family are the nicest people you can meet! They do anything to make your stay perfect and have very good advices! Also will drove us to the city or starting point of hikes many times!
The breakfast and dinner you can enjoy here are excellent! The rice and curry was sooo good!
So thank you very much for this stay at your place, it was a great moment!

Best homestay in sri lanka!

Spent 4 nights here but could have stayed for much longer. Will is a wonderful host and genuinely can't do enough for his guests. After a long train ride he collected us from the station in his tuk tuk. Upon arrival to our home for the next 4 nights we were blown away by the view from our private balcony. The room was spotless and had tea and coffee making facilities. Will asked us if we would like a tea and promptly brought us a pot of tea and some biscuits to the room. Throughout our stay he was more than helpful and offered to take us in to town when we needed. The breakfast was amazing, fresh fruits and Sri Lankan specialties which changed daily. If needed he can provide dinner at his home which again was delicious. From the guesthouse it is a 20 minute down hill walk into Ella town meaning you are away from the busy and noisy bars but close enough to be able to stroll in to town for food and drinks should you want. I cannot recommend this place enough and am certain to return one day.
