Wonderful experience all around.

The hotel is located near center of town which has many restaurants, cafes and bars.
The host, Miquel, was very nice and hospitable, ready to answer any questions, as was his son. The hotel is very clean and the room was simple but very nicely decorated with a good shower. The back of the hotel is quiet. Parking a car is easy and can be done across the street. Downstairs is a cafe where local people come to meet, have breakfast etc. There is also a store with local food type merchandise. WiFi is excellent.

I am planning to go back.

Excellent Casa Rural to be recommended.

Situated within easy wAlking to all the sights.   On arrival Miguel showed us two available rooms so we could decide which we preferred.   We chose a nice room to the front of the hotel which gave a lovely view towards the town. Easy parking on the street opposite. Miguel gave us a map and marked the sights and places to eat.  He also pointed out the kitchen and sitting room facility which was spotless albeit we only made a cup of tea.   But this would be great for preparing sandwiches for walking.  There was also a nice patio to the rear which was good for relaxing after walking/sightseeing.

The bar downstairs was great for breakfast and closed fairly early so was not noisy at night.  We enjoyed a lovely coffee and toast for 2.50 euros per person.

Overall a great find ..I would definitely stay here again.

Spotless, well positioned and great host

The hotel is located in a quiet area away from the Gruta.  Finding it is relatively easy and free parking is available on the street nearby.  The manager is very friendly and was very patient with our limited Spanish.

The room was clean and quiet.  You can walk to restaurants for dinner and driving down to the Gruta and finding parking (on a Monday) was easy.  We didn't make use of the common kitchen area.

There were cheaper places in Aracena but their ratings (and T/A reviews) dissuaded us.

Good Accomodation and Location

Our first visit to Aracena and to Casa Rural Cinco Balcones. Miguel and his team made our stay perfect, attentive without being intrusive and was genuinely interested in where we’d been walking and gave us alternative walking routes. Our room was clean, plenty of storage and space for rucksacks, walking poles and boots. Shared kitchen facility had everything we needed. 
The cheese and ham that Miguel has in his deli was absolutely delicious, we stopped eating dinner as we’d order a ham & cheese platter whilst playing cards sat outside enjoying the view of the Castle, stunning.
The town was lovely and locals very friendly and welcoming. 
This won’t be our only visit as there’s so many beautiful walking routes to nearby villages to explore and brilliant bars in town to visit as well as tonnes of history.

Amazing little gem

My wife and I stayed in the La Umbria room at the rear of the hotel for 4 nights. From the moment we arrived Miguel and his family were the perfect hosts, although we couldn't speak each others language the use of Google translate and a little bit of effort on both sides we got along splendidly. Miguel is a great character and went out of his way to help us plan our stay with restaurant recommendations and times to visit the nearby attractions. The hotel is in a great location at the top of the village within easy walking distance to all the amenities. We ate breakfast at the hotel each morning which is very good value and enough to keep you going till lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it!

Perfect!

Good Location.  No English spoken, but that was part of this hotel's charm.  Great communication anyway!  Good sized rooms and bathrooms with a share fully equipped kitchen including washing machine and large living and dining areas.  We (and I didn't see anyone else) used these areas, but we certainly took advantage of the fridge.  Breakfast downstairs was basic but wonderful mixing with the locals.  It appeared to be "the place" to have breakfast.  We stayed two nights in this delightful small town.  Can highly recommend.
