We visited Cheetah Ridge this January as a family of five staying in the Family Suite. Our stay was beyond our expectations, every single person working at the lodge perform their duties with utmost due diligence. We saw the Big Five close up multiple times and our guide deserves a medal for never failing to answer my children’s non stop enthralled questions. We highly recommend this lodge for families and for couples. Six out of Five!

A stay of a lifetime!

Amazing experience. The family suite was very spacious with beautiful finishings. Staff are all so friendly and the overall lodge is just stunning. We had Brent as our guide and he was great. Very knowledgeable and just a nice guy too. Food was delicious and such a treat to have warm towels and drinks when you return from the drive.
One small suggestion: with the early morning starts we were very tired by dinner time. The three course dinner is delicious but it takes a little while and I think we would have preferred something like a simple buffet with a couple of options where we could have a quick dinner then off to bed. Others may feel differently of course.
Overall, an absolutely stunning place.

Amazing

Amazing from start to finish, the food people and location are stunning. 
Wifi is a bit of an issue but it’s a chance to get away and relax.

Absolutely sensational

Our stay at the farmhouse was amazing. Clinton our butler was friendly with a smile providing good service along with his team. Our game guide Brent was amazing with his knowledge and seeking out animals for us to view. We would recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing place to stay.

Family Game Experience 

Our overall experience at Cheetah Ridge was fabulous!  The accommodations, guide, viewing, cleanliness and food were incredible. They were wonderful about making our daughter's 30th birthday special with a cake and singing. Our guide was knowledgable and personal. We saw so many animals!!  My only reservation is  to be VERY CAREFUL if you have food allergies/restrictions.  Despite being very clear about a severe nut allergy in our group, the kitchen somehow didn't understand it. Our guide and the customer service people were careful and very aware of it, but the kitchen staff didn't "get" the dangerous potential of nut exposure. At  least one of our meals had nuts in it. Luckily, we continuously asked questions at each meal.  Despite this, the food was delicious and the rest of the experience was amazing.

Amazing, with one caveat

Many people don't know the pressure a husband has when it comes to planing his wife's 50th Birthday. Being a milestone Birthday we looked for intimate place to celebrate with our kids and thats what we got and more...... No TV,  minimal Cell Phone reception, spacious Family room, 5* Spa treatments, awesome Game ranger (Best Amarula Coffee's ever), amazing staff and the most friendly Barman ......to top it off they even have the Big 5 
Thank you Cheetah Ridge for making my wife's Birthday, one the the whole family will never forget.  

Celebrating my Wife's 50th Birthday

Cheetah Ridge is a gem- from its attentive, friendly staff to comfortable suites and excellent meals. We enjoyed a scrumptious lunch on arrival before settling into our suite with a grand view over the waterhole. Our guide was Gerry- the game drives with him were excellent- each one seemed better than the first. We had grand and very interesting sightings on each drive and the most wonderful experiences- from frolicking impala, a pack of young lions attempting a hunt- several elephant encounters to beautiful sunsets. To round these off, wonderful dinners on return. Can only complement the chef and staff. The room had all the comforts we could have required- the view over the dam allowed for seeing a herd of buffalo twice, in addition to the resident hippo. On the short walks between the lodge and our accommodation we were entertained by a family of warthogs and graceful kudu bulls grazing or resting among the trees. I can recommend the on site spa. We would love to visit again!

What a marvellous weekend at Cheetah Ridge!

My wife and I spent 3 nights at Cheetah Ridge in the first week of January and we absolutely loved it. 

From the minute you arrive you’re made to feel welcome and as if you’re the only guests at the lodge. 

We were greeted by Lauren the fantastic lodge manager and her team - with a welcome drink and warm towel whilst our bags were taken to our room. 

The food at the lodge is incredible. Don’t think there was a single thing we didn’t like - and nothing that wasn’t catered for if we asked.

The game drives were fantastic and we’re spoilt with seeing some truly incredible sites. 

Our game ranger Ryan was knowledgeable, funny, polite and dedicated to making sure we saw animals. He went above and beyond to make our time at Cheetah Ridge that much better. 

Our suite was fantastic too - with a great view of the watering hole and all the game that inhabit and use it. Really luxurious accommodations with lovely little touches from the staff at turn down service too. 

The entire team were fantastic and we couldn’t recommend Cheetah Ridge enough! 

Brilliant!

One of the top 5 experiences of my life. The accommodation was beautiful and the staff were very professional and welcoming. Saw so many amazing animals on our game drives. Special shoutout to our guide Brandon who did an incredible job. We had so much fun and will recommend it to everyone we know visiting KwaZulu-Natal.
